Take advantage of the area’s many local attractions including Glimmerglass Opera, an internationally renowned professional summer opera festival and the Historic Hyde Hall Museum, an 18th century neoclassical country mansion on the North end of Glimmerglass.
Visit the Cooperstown Distillery, which is conveniently located on 11 Railroad Avenue in Cooperstown. Take a tour of this lovely facility and sample the award winning and unique spirits, such as the Abner Doubleday Double Play Vodka, Beanball Bourbon and the Classic American Whiskey, all in the unique baseball shaped decanter.
Ommegang Brewery is a 10 minute drive South from the Village, while Sharon Springs, home of the popular Beekman Boys 1802 Mercantile, the American Hotel Restaurant and the Spring House Spa is a short 30 minute drive North.
You can also refresh yourself with a cocktail after 5pm at the Cooperstown Beverage Exchange at 73 Main Street. This lovely space is a new addition to the charming downtown area which brings together all of the local breweries, distillery's and wineries, into one sophisticated space for tastings and bottle purchases during the day and handcrafted drinks and a tapis menu long into the evening.
The Leatherstocking Golf Course on the lake welcomes visitors to the Village of Cooperstown and local residents, though advanced tee time reservations are recommended.
The Cooperstown Equestrian Park, Cooperstown’s first equestrian park, offering introductory through second level riding lessons, is a 5-minute drive down the road from the Rabbit Run Farm House. Opportunities include lesson programs, weekly lessons, camps, and educational events. Lesson packages are available for ages 6 to adult.

Every room has a delightful décor and combines the grace and warmth of original wide board Chestnut horseshoe nailed flooring with modern Chef's kitchen and baths. Note that the entire area above the kitchen counter is a window wall that looks out into the backyard and up the mountain that the house sits at the base of. There is a walk-in pantry directly off kitchen which includes a stacked washer / dryer.
Living Room: There is a Gas fireplace with large screen TV and DVD player above it, and books in the bookcase and French doors leading to the rear deck area. Through out the home there is original artwork and antiques. Wireless internet, DISH Network TV, Cell phone booster, desk top computer, combination copier, scanner, fax machine.
Bedrooms: The plush bedding guarantees a restful night's sleep for every guest. The First floor bedroom with queen bed, TV and walk in closet and a full bath. The 2nd floor has Central Air Conditioning in all upstairs bath and bedrooms . . . bedroom 1 has a king bed, bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, bedroom 3 has a twin bed, and the second floor landing has a pull out double twin trundle bed. All bedrooms have beautiful bedding and the highest quality mattresses for a luxurious sleeping experience. A full size country styled bathroom centered on the second floor landing.
Porches & Decks: There is a covered front porch; screened-in side porch with kitchen entrance and an open rear deck for outdoor dining and relaxing . . . includes dining area, fixed seating area and grilling area. The rear patio has an outdoor fire pit which is perfect for evening enjoyment.
Outdoor Stuff: We have thought of everything for a wonderful family vacation . . . basketball hoop and balls, five (5) fishing ponds behind the barn are available for quests use (catch and release only), fishing poles and tackle provided, a goodly supply of children's life jackets, lawn games, etc., are available for your use and enjoyment.
Game Room: Above the adjacent three bay garage is a 25' x 36' x 16' cathedral ceiling game room with entertainment center . . . 74" high def. TV, complete with DISH Network, PlayStation / DVD player with 4 remote controllers and a Bose surround sound system. Leather sofa's and arm chair . . . regulation Pool, Air Hockey, Ping Pong and Foosball tables. There is a very nice deck and staircase off the back of the game room for sunbathing and relaxation too . . .
Interaction with guests: The host will greet you upon arrival and we are a phone call away if you should need assistance. Note we have a caretaker Monday thru Friday to assist when needed with the facilities and gear. Also, we have provided a laminated list of things to do, people to call should you want to visit local restaurants, groceries, drug stores, etc.
