Very good

The only thing lacking making this an all 5 star review is the mattress. It needed replacing. Staff were great! Check in was easy. Breakfast was classic English and very good.
The room was adequate. My only complaints were the mattress was hard and lumpy so I had to sleep on top of the duvet, the wifi didn’t reach the bedrooms (highly irritating when you’re on a business trip), and the road noise was quite annoying, but there’s nothing the hotel can do about that. Apart from these problems it was fine. It was clean and tidy and it was handy having the bar and food just downstairs. Cheap and cheerful as long as you don’t mind the things I’ve mentioned.
The bedroom doors couldnt be locked and the showèr didntnt work. Despite them saying my room had just been cleaned the bathroom was riddled with hair.

Very good value. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice pub in a good location. Rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Have stayed here twice and would book again.
Lovely old public house. The room we were in needs a bit of a refurb ( A new bed as the divan was a bit threadbare and the mattress put you into the middle dip). The breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful and very friendly.
Lovely place to stay. Staff were excellent and evening meal was the best pub food we've tasted. Room was clean with all amenities

The walls are paper thin , you can hear everything that’s going on in the next room. Trying to sleep at night is slightly hard especially if your neighbours are builders. Great for overnight sleep if you don’t want to sleep to early and you don’t have children
Well situated for visit to Nymans and Brighton, very close to road so a bit noisy on a hot night. Bathroom rather tight, a shower would be a better fit than the bath. Overall very good and value for the money charged.

Everything is good except for the walls they are paper thin . You can hear everything that happens in every room. I had the loft hatch in my room so you could hear everyone on the top floor. So noisy when I needed to sleep because I have to get up early every morning for work. I wouldn’t recommend it for people with children
