Authentic Alaskan cabin experience near the heart of Denali

Our secluded “authentic Alaskan cabin” is nestled in a rustic setting with spectacular mountain views. This private wooded property, boasting an "off the grid" driveway and plenty of wildlife, is walking distance to Otto Lake. Enjoy great fishing, swimming, and other water activities or stop at Black Diamond Resort for tundra golf, horse pulled wagon rides, ATV excursions, or fine dining.

Our quaint town of Healy is the home to several unique dining experiences, an amazing coffee spot, local brewery, and so much more. Down the heart of the community is the Parks Highway, which takes you to an outdoor adventure at Denali National Park less than 15 minutes away.

The authentic Alaskan cabin has an open great room, with sleeper couches, and a built-in dining area. There is a queen blow-up mattress available that is able to sleep two guests in this area. The sitting room, with a day bed and an additional twin mattress, opens to a private patio. Up a steep stairs, which adds to the experience, leads to the loft. The loft has a comfortable full bed, exhilarating views, and additional amenities. The kitchen is full service, with fridge, sink, microwave and stove. Off the main entrance deck, the mountain views are beyond description. The bathroom offers a sink, shower, and a waterless Separett toilet. However, for those truly desiring the full Alaskan experience, there is an “elite” outhouse out back as well. If your previous adventures have left you exhausted, not to worry…we will provide wireless Internet and Netflix.
Make yourself comfortable in this cabin, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private patio. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Hosts were very helpful and provided excellent communication with any questions. Very private location with good size property to spend time inside and out. Loved the porch, deck area and all the available board games. Thank you for an unforgettable experience in the Denali area.

Tranquil getaway - perfect cabin in the woods.
Our stay was fantastic! The cabin was spotless, which immediately made us feel at home. The outdoor space with amazing view was a highlight for us all. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked, making it a joy to cook our meals. We had everything we needed and more. The sleeping spaces ensured that everyone had their own comfortable spot. The furniture was cozy and inviting. The books and games provided were a nice touch and added to the fun of our stay. We enjoyed walking the driveway, it was a perfect way to take in the stunning surroundings. Overall, Karla's cabin exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Clean and comfortable
The cabin was very clean and well maintained with lots of room for our family of 6. The cabin sits off the main road and it is not easy to navigate the driveway, especially if you have a low to the ground car or van. It was convenient of getting to Denali National Park and we saw several moose on the road to the cabin. The bathroom facilities were clean and manageable, but would not want to spend more than a few days with the quick shower and composting toilet. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice
All in all the stay was fantastic, but cut short for a minor accident in denali park while hiking, we were in awe of the views from the cabin, especially the upstairs window, thank you very much for sharing your cabin with us

Girls trip
Three generation girls trip. Aside from the minivan hitting a root in the driveway (don’t rent a minivan!) everything was perfect! Never seen a separette toilet before, considering getting one to my property in WV now! Everything was super clean, and it was a beautiful property. As remote as it felt, it was only a short ride to town, and very close to some fun excursions. Overall we had a great time and Karla was a great host!

Great Location
Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. The location was perfect for our trip to Fairbanks and Denali National Park. We even saw three moose on Hilltop Road! The cabin was also fun and unique, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck for the great view. Wade and Marla were also incredibly responsive and helpful. They’re awesome!

Lots of privacy and a good place to stay. Driveway a little rough but that is never an issue for me. Semi off the grid. I like that though.

A cozy quiet cabin near Denali
We enjoined spending a few nights in this cozy cabin. A very quiet isolated place just a 3 minutes drive from highway and a few more minutes to Denali park entrance. The upper half-floor has gorgeous mountain views. Very clean. Just be aware of ecologic (no running water restroom) - really high tech. Thank you Tommy

We needed at least 2 more chairs for the table and more drinking water. The young adults wanted shades. Easy drive to Denali, restaurants, and the grocery store. We enjoyed the decks!!

Funky
Nice quiet place in the woods, a bit quirky, but I'd trade all that for having a moose and two calves come in the yard one night and the few of an Alaskan moonrise (15 minutes long)!

Our cabin experience was a treat! Karla shared the history of the cabin, which was comfortable, nicely decorated, and conveniently located near Denali. We enjoy “walk abouts” around the cabin, looking for evidence of wildlife, playing games which were generously supplied, and sleeping in comfort.

Alaskan Cabin in the Woods
We really enjoyed our stay here with our family (2 adults and 6 kids, ages 2-13). The cabin had plenty of room for our large family, the well-stocked kitchen was really helpful with being able to cook dinner, and everything was so well organized! The cabin is very well located for visits to Denali National Park, as well as various restaurants and a grocery store. We would highly recommend this cabin to others looking for an authentic Alaskan cabin experience.

Alaska Vacation
It was an enjoyable stay. I would stay again and would highly recommend staying here. Very secluded yet 5 minutes from everything you need. So close to the National Park, only 15 minutes. Also Moose came right up to the front door while we were there. They do need to get blinds for the windows as it is light out most of the time I the summer.
