Poor Customer service, in the bedroom & bathroom things are broken and not working properly. Late night the hotels was audible because there was a pub next room near the reception.
The breakfast was disappointing with no hot meals just continental breakfast. Lastly early check out of 10 am with no comprise and extra fee charged for later check out.
Very disappointing stay 😟

Welcomed by a very friendly lad who was new to the hotel. Room small but clean and good price. Very dog friendly. Sunday evening and told by rather sullen manager (who did mellow slightly) that we couldn't have anything to eat. Eventually agreed we could (info said last order 8.45 and this was about 8). Excellent pizza and salad with friendly waiting staff.

Helensburgh stop
Very average hotel. The pillows and towels were dirty. Room was extremely hot. Needed to search for staff, but they were friendly. Young girl at breakfast was new, and probably tried the hardest to please guests. Breakfast was toast and cereal with a little fruit salad. No view in the room but the hotel is right on the water, with free parking just a short walk away at the leisure centre. Didn’t have dinner at the hotel but by all accounts it is popular. Not really boutique!
Had a lovely night stay here. The room was beautiful. The staff were really lovely and the breakfast was too. You could here a bit street noise from the rooms but that would be my only negative.
It was very good staff lovely had a few drinks in bar was not overly pricy bed very comfortable . In the morning the continental was good and enough for us .
The room was lovely, comfortable and clean (we had a smaller room previous week and there wasn't much room for our little doggie, but this one was slightly bigger and it made a difference). The lady who welcomed us was lovely both when we arrived and at breakfast. The reason I marked middle point for service was because we had a meal in the evening and we were one of three groups who were waiting quite a while to get served and for empty pots to be taken away. That said, the food was lovely too! It may be down to only two members of staff being on; but it was a very long wait where each one of us had to go to the bar to ask for menu's; order to be taken...
So friendly and rooms are comfy and spotless. Love the record player in the room. Complimentary water n wee chocolates. Breakfast is continental. Very tasty. This was our second time staying. We were in room 9 on the second floor. No a great view but the room was smashing. We will be back.
The room was pleasant and adequate for a one night stay. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was appalling. Very little food available, no service, very poorly organised. Bacon, sausages kept warm and did not looked cooked.

It was a nice little hotel, absolutely fine for our short weekend break visiting friends. The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly.
Overall stay was fine. Friendly staff and tasty dinner. Room was nice, but obviously needed new sealant around shower as very mouldy and no coffee pods supplied despite that being a feature of the room. Breakfast could be improved - found it slightly odd to offer some aspects of cooked breakfast (4 types of meat), but none of the other aspects (like beans, mushrooms, tomato) to round it out - and coffee was seldom refilled.
We stayed here for one night in between destinations and were disappointed in the stay. We had high hopes since our other accommodations for our trip were also at small boutique hotels but this was lacking. The photos looked really nice but we found the place to be underwhelming and the room was even smaller than expected with minimal privacy for the bathroom. The window looked into a weird fake plant screen and didn’t provide for much draft to keep the room cool. The breakfast was lacking, there was hardly anything available. The staff seemed to be going through the motions and not very hospitable. Not much available in the town either, I do not plan to return to Helensburgh.
Was a lovely clean hotel, that we booked as it is dog friendly. the room was small which would have been ok if it had just been the two of us but it left little room for our dog to sleep on the floor, wherever it would lay down would be where we would need to walk to get to en-suite. Have booked for our return journey from the highlands and asked if there was a slightly bigger room - was informed the room would provide a little more space.
