Very good room with some concern
The Omena Hotel Lonnrontinkatu is conveniently located in Helsinki city center, just a 10-minute walk from the main train station.
Our room was clean and comfortable, featuring a sofa and dining table. Although the room was a bit small, it was perfectly fine for two people.
One thing to note is that this hotel has no reception, so check-in and check-out are done independently. However, this system has a major flaw. We were supposed to receive a registration link and code for check-in, but we never got it. Unfortunately, the customer service number was completely unresponsive, and the phone in the lobby was equally useless. We ended up having to contact our travel agency, who thankfully managed to get us the code within 15 minutes. However, this whole ordeal cost us two hours of our precious vacation time. And we weren't alone! During our 3-night stay, we witnessed at least 6-7 other groups experiencing the exact same problem. This is a serious issue that the hotel needs to address immediately. Guests should confirm their registration and code well in advance of their arrival date to avoid this frustrating situation.
