Stunning hotel for a good price. Super handy location right next to the train station and walking distance to many of the main sights in Helsinki. Sound proofing was amazing as we didn’t hear any trains the whole stay!

This place is swanky by my standards. Extremely nice. Made me think of the Overlook before Mr. Torrence lost his mind. Right next to the train station, across the street from a grocery store and a 'Target' (that has nothing to do with an American Target but Americans will understand the reference). Walkability to lots of sites, such the Helsinki Central Library Oodi. Americans should visit this library to know what library should be. Also, if you like beer, go to Bierhaus Munchen. Finally, luckily, as I was leaving, a male hotel staffer was leaving. I debated taxi or train even though train is less expensive. I was tired and just wanted to go the airport. He was going the same way and basically escorted me to what I needed to do. It was simple, but not overly obvious. He didn't have to do that, but he saved me time, money and stress. His kindness and helpfulness went a long way. Big fan of that young gentlemen.

The Best Place to stay in Helsinki.

The Scandic Grand Hotel is a conveniently located in the center of town. Shopping and historic sites are all in walking distance. The train station is right next door and there wonderful restaurants all around. Check in and check out are made very easy and the staff is very helpful.

We were very disappointed in the standard room that did not even come with a teapot to make our own coffee or tea, which is standard in almost every hotel room. I’ve been in no matter what the price. There was no Doorman at the front door to help us carry our suitcases up about 15 steps. The room did not have any special nice cities that less surprised rooms have sometimes a candy on the pillow or free bottle of water. The room was almost $300 and was very sparse. We love the location of this hotel, but we felt it was overpriced and not very nice to its customers. It did not make us feel special at all as we have experienced in many other hotels that were cheaper.
