Newer Luxury Property that is unique, peaceful and near the heart of the amazing Black Hills! Our home has 3500 sq ft of beautiful indoor living space and a 1900 sq ft spectacular outdoor covered patio. The design of the home makes it ideal for family reunions, a large gathering of friends, business retreats, etc…
After enjoying the day exploring all of what the Hills has to offer or just hiking the 3 plus trails on the wooded 7 acres, you can relax on the patio where you can either grill, have ribs in the smoker or make hotdogs for the kids on the hotdog roaster. Enjoy a beverage at the very large bar or sitting and watching the 2 outdoor TV’s. Morning, evening or anytime of the day is a perfect time for soaking and enjoying the view in the Salt water Hot tub!
Head inside to what we like to call the Buffalo Lounge! It is a fun place to sit back and enjoy a drink or play a game of cards; make popcorn and watch TV or just relax by the wood burning fireplace.
Where do families like to spend time? Around the island in the large kitchen that has both a gas range and electric oven for those big family gatherings. The kitchen/ living room/dining room combination has a very large open floorplan with a vaulted ceiling. You can also enjoy TV or gather around the fireplace.
When it’s time to say goodnight, you can choose from 5 different bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a large walk-in shower and closet. 3 bedrooms with a queen bed and 1 large bedroom with a queen bed and a full over full bunkbed with a twin trundle. Sleeps up to 15 people plus if you are very adventurous there is a hide-a-bed out on the covered patio.
There are 3 bathrooms and a 4-stall garage with one of the stalls being used as a rec area for the kids to hangout! One more added bonus, there is a sauna.
The house is centrally located in the Hills. You are 8 miles to Custer State Park, 17 miles to Mount Rushmore, 25 miles to Rapid City and close to historical Keystone, Hill City, and Custer.

The perfect getaway!
You'll never want to leave once you see this amazing home that has more than you'll ever need - from games to a fully stocked kitchen to multiple washers/dryers. There were ten of us from ages 5-72 and there truly was something for everyone there. We spent most of our time outside in the living space with a wraparound bar that seated all of us with room for more while the chefs in our group used the smokers to cook up our dinner. After dinner you'll want to move to the spacious hot tub or sit on the couches/chairs and watch one of the two outdoor TVs. Or if you're more of an inside person, one of the two living rooms was spacious enough for all guests. The popcorn maker (we're talking a pro popcorn maker) was a huge hit with the kids and the kids at heart. The four-stall garage held all our cars with room for the table tennis aficionados to play table tennis or simply sit on the reclining couches and watch TV (with yet another refrigerator, of course) in the fourth stall of the garage. The hosts were very responsive, even to the most mundane of questions. They truly wanted us to feel at home and made every effort to entirely spoil us. All the reviews are right - this is luxury close to Custer and Mount Rushmore. We'll come back for sure!

Family Vacation
This was our family’s Christmas present. We went out exploring the area, there’s so much to do out here. I’d recommend this place for large families anytime. We enjoyed the covered patio and having fires in the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked and great to cook as a family.

Wonderful family vacation
My husband and I planned this trip for our 40th wedding anniversary with our three sons, their wives and grandkids. The house was perfect for us and the kids absolutely loved all the space outdoors. We had a ballgame out in the yard every night. The covered porch was a wonderful way to end the day and we used the grill and hot dog roaster. Jeff and Laura were wonderful and took great care of us. Would highly recommend this property.

Perfect place to stay
This home was the perfect place to stay while visiting the Black hills area. It is away from town but it’s a gorgeous property with so much to do. We traveled with four adults and six kids and we all loved the property. Kitchen was over the top equipped and the toiletries ( shampoo, conditioner, and body wash) were a great amenity along with all the other extras.

The property was well maintained and stocked. The outside covered patio was amazing and our group spent a lot of time out there. The nightly wildlife shows were enjoyed by all! Location provided easy access to Custer State Park and the Black Hills.

BEST STAY EVER!
Top notch! The owners of this home went above and beyond what we normally expect. They thought of everything possibly needed and more. The property itself is beautiful, large and updated. We traveled with our 3 daughters, their spouses and 6 kids. There was plenty of room and so much to do- games, ping pong, sauna, jacuzzi, shuffle board, and private hiking trails. There is a great covered porch with bar and grills. The pictures on VRBO look great, but don’t do it justice. We could have stayed there the whole time, but it’s so close to all the attractions we could bounce back and forth. We plan on making this a annual event!

The home was beautiful and well stocked. Such a wonderful spacious area for our family of 8 adults and 6 children ranging from age 61 to 10 months and a good almost halfway location for our family from Washington and Illinois to meet. So much to do and see and the home was centrally located to all. We weren’t able to do everything we would have liked so will definitely be going back in the future. The outdoor area was fantastic and we spent most of our downtime there while the children enjoyed the garage game area. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive to our messages. No one was disappointed!

Wonderful Vacation
The property is situated in a location that made getting to local attractions a breeze! We rode the 1880 Train, visited Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bear Country, Reptile Garden, Deadwood, Spearfish Falls, Badlands and Custer State Park! We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was perfect for our needs. The outdoor area made an ideal place to unwind and talk about the day. The grandkids and I painted water color pictures on the outdoor bar area several times and roasted marshmallows for s’mores each evening. The hot tub was exactly what our adult children needed for some laughs and late night chats. Thank you to Jeff and Laura for your hospitality! We hope to be back!

Great space
This was a great space to have our friends and family gather as a stop on a camping adventure. We were able to park the four motorhomes in the drive and have a few nights of non-motorhome stays before we continued on our adventures. The outdoor space is spectacular! Plenty of room for outdoor games, shelter from any adverse weather, and having the deer come up to the house was icing on the cake!

Beautiful Relaxing Vacation Home!
The 12 (5 adults and kids aged 6 to 15) of us had an amazing time seeing as many Black Hills sights and then relaxing at this beautiful vacation rental. The house is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, garage games played by all and the outside patio was the perfect spot to relax at night in the hot tub or with the fire pit under the stars. Jeff and Laura were amazing in booking, check in and giving info during the week by email. They even checked to find a time for the lawn to get mowed and not bother us. We saw deer right off the patio many nights, a rainbow, and we were thankful to have an area in the garage for the 3 rental cars to be kept safe during a few evening storms. We used to live in RC from 1992 to 1988 and it was great to see the sights again through the eyes of our grand kids and friends who came along all the way from Delaware. we visited Pactola Lake, Story Book Island, Dinosaur Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Hours, Iron Man Road, Custer State Park, Badlands, Wall Drug, Mammoth Site! A fun time on every place we went and the house was located central to all. If we return some year again to the Hills we will definite come back. You wont be disappointed!
We needed to accomodate a large group for our daughter's wedding at Custer State Park. This was the PERFECT setting! Incredible covered patio with hot tub, sauna, outdoor kitchen, seating and two large tv's was the showstopper! The home had beautiful finishings, bar area was a nice surprise and the kids liked the ping pong table in the garage (and plugged in the playstation to play games when the weather was rainy.) The kitchen was well appointed ..two ovens..large refrigerator and had a full pantry of spices. Plus there were casual and nice dish sets and glasses and cups. Lots of fridge space as there was one in kitchen..bar and garage. Primary bedroom had large walk in closet and shower! If you are looking for a memorable stay in the Hills, this is the place!
