A home from home
This is a lovely hotel within walking distance of the beach. We had hired a car so that we had the freedom of going wherever, whenever. However we did do two excursions with a local tour operator and they picked us up from a nearby hotel. There's ample free parking on site which is great. The hotel facilities are basic but all work. Some parts do require a bit of TLC (e.g. repainting and updating of bathrooms) but all worked fine. Our room had AC which in the heat is worth the extra charge. The staff were all excellent, nothing was too hard and they were all happy to help. Overall our stay was excellent and if we returned to Crete we would definitely stay there again.

Small friendly hotel
Lovely homely hotel, a short distance away from the main hustle bustle of the beach. Relaxed environment, ideal for anyone wanting to chill out and totally get away from it all. Ben and Gordon are fantastic hosts who are at hand to give you advice about the area and island. The hotel is ideally located to visit main sites in Eastern Crete or just stay at the hotel. Our first experience of Crete. We will definitely be returning to Home Hotel.

Nice situated hotel near to the beach and overall a nice place to stay. We had a great Time there to relax and also it was like expected and really quiet. If you want to move around better to have a car. Parking space available in from of the hotel. The owners are lovely and helpful. Defently would come back.

Simple and comfortable, run by two lovely people
The Home Hotel is a good choice if you want to be treated like friends and have a simple and comfortable room with balcony and space to breathe. It isn't terribly luxurious, it is better than that. The new owners want you to really enjoy your stay and they have carefully started to put things together to make it a really relaxing experience. Special mention for the delicious breakfasts served until 4pm!

nice hotel ,friendly receiption people ,we had problem with the toilet flushing system which was not solved, on the other hand since there was there was regional electric problem by night they let us stay for late check out so we can sleep little longer -overall nice place

Alt und kaputt. Vorsicht vor versteckten Kosten!
Wir waren mit 6 Personen (3 DZ) für eine Woche im Home-Hotel. Das ist oder besser war eigentlich eine nette Anlage mit Potential - wenn man mal etwas Hand anlegen würde. So ist alles leider veraltet und auch viel kaputt. Wir waren im Block 3 untergebracht, der seine beste Zeit leider längst hinter sich hat. Die Zimmer in Block 3 waren verwohnt, abgenutzt und kaputt. Schade, weil es oft auch nur Kleinigkeiten sind, die mit wenig Aufwand zu beseitigen wären. Das geht los bei der Sauberkeit (Spinnweben in den Ecken, dreckige Balkonmöbel, Insektenkot an der Klimaanlage), führt sich weiter bei lieblosen Reparaturen (Tür gestrichen ohne abzukleben, mit Farbe bekleckste Fliesen, einen Spalt einfach mal mit Silikonfuge schließen). Der Pool hat eine veraltete Wasseraufbereitung und entsprechend keine gute Wasserqualität. Auch hier könnte man einfach Abhilfe schaffen. Frech finde ich, dass ich Zimmer mit Klimaanlage gebucht habe, diese aber nicht nutzen konnte. An der Rezeption wurde mir dann gesagt, dass die Nutzung der Klimaanlage 4 Euro pro Nacht extra kostet. Noch dreister: Wenn man die Klima laufen lassen will, während man nicht im Zimmer ist, kostet das noch einmal 10 Euro pro Nacht extra!!! Positiv anzumerken wären die Inhaber, die stets freundlich und gut drauf sind. Die Cocktails an der Bar waren auch gut. Insgesamt aber waren wir enttäuscht. Auch aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen und der vielversprechenden Fotos. Für gewöhnlich sind wir nicht pingelig.

Charmehotel in oase van rust
Hotel Home is een oase van rust, aan een rustige landweg op 500 meter van het zandstrand en op 3 km van de haven van Chersonissos, ver weg van het feestgewoel. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Sinds begin 2016 wordt dit hotel gerund door het Engels/Schotse koppel Ben en Gordon. Met veel passie en persoonlijke aandacht maken zij van hun hotel een echt "thuis op vakantie". De inrichting van de kamers is eenvoudig, maar smaakvol. Het sanitair is functioneel en schoon, maar wel enigzins gedateerd. Wij hadden een appartement met een comfortabel 2-persoonsbed, voorzien van airco en een kleine koelkast. Het mooie zwembad (diep!) is omringd met bloeiende planten en struiken, en er zijn ruim voldoende ligstoelen met zowel zon als schaduw. Desgevraagd zal Ben zal je overladen met tips voor verrassende uitstapjes en restaurants. Een huurauto is een must als je iets van de omgeving wil zien. Centraal gelegen tussen Iraklion en Agios Nikolaos, met highlights als Knossos, Spinalonga en het Lasithi-plateau. In de bergdorpjes op 3-5 km afstand liggen talrijke traditionele restaurantjes met fantastisch eten. Het hotel zelf heeft een goed maar eenvoudig ontbijtbuffet, met o.a. de lekkerste Griekse yoghurt. Omelet e.d. zijn op bestelling. 3 Maal per week kookt Gordon voor de gasten een 3-gangenmenu (2 keuzes per gang) voor slechts 10 euro, smakelijk en vooral overvloedig. In de bijbehorende taverne is het gezellig toeven, en met wat mazzel voert Gordon een hilarische show op.

Mit Liebe gefülltes, wundervolles Hotel !!!!
Wir kamen an dem Hotel an und wurden mit einem "Welcome Home" empfangen von Gordon und Bob und direkt war das Eis gebrochen. Herzlichkeit steht hier an erster Stelle und man fühlt sich hier wirklich wie "daheim". Wir haben die Tage dort sehr genossen in jeglicher Hinsicht. Sei es am Pool zum relaxen oder Abends gemütlich an der Bar oder aber bei einem gemeinsamen BBQ Abend zu dem alle Hotelgäste gegen einen minimalen Unkostenbeitrag eingeladen war...und ich glaube alle waren Anwesend und wir hatten gemeinsam so einen tollen schönen Abend mit superleckerem Essen, wo sich viele andere Restaurants eine dicke Scheibe von hätten abschneiden können ! Wir waren sehr traurig als wir abreisen mussten und nahmen die Herzlichkeit mit und wünschen uns ein Wiedersehen im "Home" nächstes Jahr. DANKE !!!

Les gérants sont vraiment au petit soins nous étions 5 nous avant eu une autre chambre gratuite sans le demander les douches sont petites les wc à revoir mais c'est un HOTEl très très calme on a l'impression d'être à la maison à 20 min de l'aéroport le wifi cest a l'accueil ou devant malgré toutes ces petites imperfections j'y retournerais à coup sur

due piccoli edifici bassi in stile greco in mezzo ad una trionfante vegetazione con al centro una grande piscina: vigono silenzio, discrezione e pochissimo affollamento, oltre che massima cortesia del personale. stanze essenziali ma graziose e pulite. colazione e piccoli pasti realizzati con prodotti freschi e di qualità. possibilità di massaggio su richiesta: personale altamente professionale.

Hübsches Hotel mit viel Liebe geführt.
Wir waren nur 6 Tage in der Hauptsaison dort. Trotz des allgemeinen Rummels gerade in der Ecke von Kreta merkt man davon in diesem liebevoll geführten Resort der Ruhe nichts. Angelos hatte gute Tips für uns - wir fanden unsere entlegenen Ecken und leckere Tavernen. Dafür waren wir bereit etwas zu fahren.

io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato in questa splendida struttura l'ultima settimana di luglio 2014...è stato il valore aggiunto della vacanza...l'hotel è un delizioso complesso di mini appartamenti immersi nella quiete a due passi dal mare e a circa due km dal centro vivace di hersonissoss...è dotato di una piscina esterna ed è veramente caratteristico...e come racconta bene il suo nome ti sembra proprio di essere a casa...Angelos, il proprietario è veramente gentile, sempre disponibile a consigliarti i posti migliori da vedere, i ristorantini tipici e le escursioni più interessanti da fare...da non perdere le sue colazioni fatte in casa con prodotti esclusivamente bio e i cocktail a bordo piscina...e come dice sempre lui ... enjoy...!!!!!

Diverso dai soliti hotel
A 6 minuti a piedi da una lunga spiaggia di sabbia, 8 di taxi/bus da hersonissos. Molto tranquillo, piscina carina, gusto nell'arredo speciale. Il proprietario fa di tutto per farti sentire davvero a casa, senza essere mai invasivo. Ottima esperienza. Consiglio a coppie e single 25/40 anni.
