If you journey 170 kilometres of Hibiki, you'll come across the important city of Okayama.

Perhaps you'll come across some enchanting seashells as you explore along the shoreline at Goshiki Beach Park.

You won't need to venture too far afield to witness some nice natural sights. Load up the car and follow the road to Yuhigaura Hot Springs, 50 kilometres away from Hibiki, for a laid-back day. Or perhaps Ono Dam is more your cup of tea? You'll find it 30 kilometres away.

There's nothing quite like leaping excitedly out of bed and being first on the chairlift at Wakasu Kogen Oya Ski Area. Once you've conquered all the runs there, pack up your gear and continue on to Wakasa Hyounosen Ski Area.

Venture further afield and see what's happening in Takahama-cho, 9 kilometres to the southeast. Many visitors come here for the Kongoin Temple and Kinoko no Mori. Alternatively, Maizuru is 12 kilometres to the southwest of Hibiki. Head to this locality for easy access to Goro Sky Tower and Maizuru Harbor.

Feel like checking out the ShishizakiInari Temple, the Chionji Temple and Old Mikami Family House? Make tracks to Miyazu, 25 kilometres to the west, and set up base. These sights, along with Amanohashidate View Land and Motoise Kono Shrine, are all not far away.
