Booked and paid for room two days in advance through Expedia arrived at the hotel to check in and the staff member proceeded to ask me if we had a pet. I informed him. Yes we do have a pet. His response was I’m sorry, sir. We do not have any pet friendly rooms left available for the night then he proceeded to tell me he had texted me two hours prior asking if we had a pet of course I was traveling on the road in my vehicle and did not see the message. I was very upset. Left with no choice to find a different hotel 1 AM in the morning with two children. Then I asked for a refund that I had paid and his response was, sir you will have to contact Expedia yourself to get your money back. that upset me even more an hour later we finally arrived at a different hotel which costed more than the hotel. We are supposed to have a room got the kids to bed and proceeded to call. Expedia ended up on the phone for 45 minutes explain the situation and asking for my money back, which was exactly a week ago today. check my credit card transactions for refunds and I still have not gotten a refund for the two nights booked where we were basically told to leave with no refund very unacceptable
