Book Hillsboro hotels

This is an excellent VRBO spot for those that are looking for a rural get-away. Everything provided is high quality and this is quite a special location that may not have an equal in the area. The skies are decently dark for those looking to get some star gazing in and is conveniently located near the Red River Gorge area. We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub, the grill, the pool table, and the dart board. The youngest girl in our group was excited to "cross the bridge" inside the house that connects to one set of bedrooms. A word of caution: the cabin is about 30 minutes away from any real civilization on a winding hill road that contains several hairpins and ought to have way more guard rails than it does. Do not attempt to drive into this location at night having never done it before! Once you know what's in store for you from doing a daytime drive, doing it at night isn't bad but I think it's actually dangerous going into it with no experience. The distance should also be factored in when considering groceries: buy what you need at the beginning of the trip because going down and up the hill is going to take an hour so you don't want to be making many drives for supplies. I'd absolutely do this trip again but I'd spend more time here than I did. Absolutely worth it.

We stay here everytime we come to the Morehead area. The hotel is a little older, but it is always very clean, and the mattresses and pillows are so comfortable. The big draw for us though is the friendliness of the staff! The breakfast is good too! My kids love the pool and there are always adequate pool towels.

Great so far

Overall the stay was good. My wife had to stay in another hotel in another city however because this hotel is not pet friendly. The event for my husband was in Mt.Sterling so that made it inconvenient for our family

Pretty convenient to everything but still far enough away to feel like you’re getting away. It does sit near the road and some trucks are loud when passing, but not bad. We could have used an AC during the day, but there wasn’t one. I presume they use a window unit once it heats up more. The heater was nice at night. Overall, great price, nice cabin, and very communicative hosts.
