Saigon 9 Rivergate is always the best when I stay in HCMC. The staff is helpful and very polite. The rooms are clean and well maintained. 5 stars for them!

Summer trip 2025

Good location, spacious apartments, with laundry facilities, convenience shops on ground level useful. Apartments are actually Air B&B so you have to wait for security to call your host- this wasn’t communicated at any point, no lamps in bedrooms so only v bright overhead ceiling lights, no oven or toaster in kitchen, pool is on Level 7- v windy & it made water too choppy to swim, host entered our apartment without prior notice to remove a spare sofa- complained to them via WhatsApp number and they apologised.

It’s a bit tricky to use the pool. You’d need the person handling your booking/key to register you every time you use the pool. Lots of rules that were not communicated up front in the booking.

The room was ok, but not easy to get ahold of anyone, no front desk and we was yelled at 5 times by the security guard for waiting to be checked in or waiting for taxis. They made us stand outside for the rides or just to be checked in or out. If you go swimming they have to walk you to the pool. We had to leave half way through I couldn't handle my family getting yelled at for basic thing.

Security attitude is the worst

Very good communication with the staff. Overall we had a good stay but we would not come back. Biggest problem is the security guards, they would not let us stay in yhe lobby while waiting for our ride. I don't know what the reason behind the security keep kicking us out of the lobby but standing outside in the heat is horrendous not to mention very unsafe when they kick us out at night. Worst part is the security guard attitude. Not recommended due to the security guard. Only other issue was the shower drain not draining fast enough.

Nice place, illegal rental

This was a very nice place. But, it’s an apartment building with signs posted all through out stating that short term rentals are illegal. There was no desk to check in at, but rather a person came down and said we would use WhatsApp to communicate. You could also only use the pool at certain hours of the day, despite it being open later, because the host has to physically escort you in. Just a very strange experience.
