Czech Republic's capital city, Prague, is situated roughly 75 kilometres to the southwest of Holín.

You don't have to be stuck on the highway all day to see some nature around these parts. Just 40 kilometres out of Holín, Szrenica is a superb place to get a breath of fresh air. Even more tranquil surrounds await at Royal Dam, 35 kilometres away.

Join the legion of devoted fans cheering for the FC Hradec Králové at their home ground of Vsesportovni Stadium, 50 kilometres away in Hradec Kralove. Fit in with the locals by dressing in the team colours, white and black.

There's even more to see and do just down the road. Jinolice, 3 kilometres to the northeast, is known for Church of St. Ignatius and the Jicin Regional Museum and Gallery. Soběraz, 7 kilometres to the east, is worth a day trip. You can use it as a base when visiting Church of St. Jacob the Greater, the Masaryk Theatre and Jicin Tourist Information Centre. If you need more convincing, other nearby sights include Valdice Gate and Jicin Aqua Centre.
