I arrived At the hotel just passed midnight. Flight was delayed and was absolutely exhausted. This was a Sunday night, so no one was even in the lobby. Just one female worker. When I arrived I said hello, she was on the phone and told me to wait and clearly was not happy I was there. All I wanted Was keys to my room that I have Already paid for. I had To be up in less than 5 hours for work. She was not on the phone with a guest, she was on the phone with the hotel IT support to try and get her phone authenticated. Which she could have put on hold. After waiting approximately 20 minutes for her. She put the phone on hold and just disappeared. When she showed back up I politely and very gently asked “is it going to be much longer? I’m just really exhaust…” and before I could Even finish my sentence she snapped at me and said “what do you think I was Doing. I went to get someone to help you. Chill” the manager came around and was a lot more friendly and did offer me a free beverage or snack for the wait. But she also looked like she had been sleeping or something. It was very bizarre and not really appropriate or professional. The room was fine. Location was fine, just a bit dodgy at times but that’s downtown Houston I guess. I just Wouldn’t rely on the staff as most of them are extremely rude and have serious attitude for absolutely no reason.

The hotel is clean and well situated downtown. There are no convenience items for sale in the lobby. The breakfast was great. Parking was readily available in parking garages. It is small and quaint. Staff was friendly but the room only had a blackout shade no curtains.

I want my money back!

As I checked in I was lied to about my deposit by the front desk. With it being a deep inconvenience, they refused to do anything about it and told me to call my bank. You shouldn’t lie to guest and cause inconvenience.
