We would have eaten in the restaurant but we had a really bad experience from the bartender in the hotel restaurant that completely put us off our experience in that area of the hotel. Everyone else was welcoming and professional.

Truly THE Place to Stay in Houston
The staff are the most welcoming people and I look forward to seeing them again in the coming year. My favorite amenity is the snack drawer with free drinks, candy, cookies, and chips that are replenished daily. The hotel restaurant is equally outstanding and makes single diners feel right at home.

The Lancaster is a beautiful hotel located in a very convenient spot downtown. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Enjoyed the bar as well with a delicious dirty martini! Highly recommend

I wish every hotel was like this. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. It's the same every time we stay. We know we are going to enjoy it and it does not disappoint. What really sets this hotel apart is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. From the first valet that opens your door, to the doorman, the front desk, the bartenders and waiters, housekeeping, etc. - everyone is smiling, professional and so helpful if you need anything. We don't like to stay anywhere else when we come to Houston.

Great hotel, perfect location, yummy food & drinks
This hotel is a gem. The rooms are lovely. The fridge is full of drinks and good snacks. The bar/restaurant is top notch. The breakfast is included and like those a fine European hotel would offer. Staff is great. Five stars all the way! And the location...just a block from the symphony hall and opera house...wow!

Property is great and the amenities and snacks that are complimentary were great. However they only checked me in almost at 4PM and only because I went to ask how far they were with my room and check in time is at 3! Did not offer me even a glass of water or anything while I was waiting. The staff is rude! And overall not a great stay…. I would not be here again

Love the quietness of the room and extra amenities from robe/slippers, free snacks/drinks, and delicious breakfast buffet to extremely accommodating and kind staff, the Lancaster feels luxurious. Wish we had gotten the extra VIP/room upgrade Expedia said.

This is such a beautiful property. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of the art district and walkable to restaurants, shows, and street art. The amenities are great!- breakfast, gym, in room snacks and nespresso coffee, on site art gallery, and welcome Champagne. I am marking them down because you can hear everything in the room. There was a car alarm that went off for 2 or more hours and it was from the valet parking area. It went off so long that my brain made it a permanent sound. You could also hear the showers from other rooms, doors closing, everything. It was so terrible that I did not get a good night of sleep and I woke up with a headache. If I do stay again I would bring my noise machine and/or earplugs.
