I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel, particularly given its reputation. The room I was allocated had a strong smell of mould. After raising this with staff, I inspected six other rooms, only to find they all had the same issue. Eventually, I settled on a room where the smell seemed less noticeable, but within a day, the mould odour returned.
I repeatedly reported the problem, but the only response was to clean the room. This made no difference, as the mould issue clearly ran deeper. Despite being out for most of the day, both my partner and I fell ill during our stay. We experienced dizziness, nausea, and significant weakness, which we strongly suspect was caused by prolonged exposure to the mould.
While the staff were pleasant, they were completely unequipped to address such a serious problem. Their response was superficial and did nothing to resolve the issue.
Given the health risks and the lack of an adequate response, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. This experience was shocking, particularly for a brand I had previously held in high regard. I would stay here again, and I advise others to avoid it altogether.
