This is a beautiful property. All the restaurants are wonderful and each took pride in presentation of the meals and customer service. Each night there was some type of show on the beach. The beach itself is amazing and was clean.

Staff did not explain the water bottles to us. We didn't know we could refill them in the lobby until the DAY BEFORE we left. The AC unit in the room leaked water all inside one of our suitcases and drenched all the clothes. Bottom of the bathroom door had water damage and moldy. Service out by the pool area was very slow and confusing. We had two tickets for a couple of hours and wasn't explained to us drinks were coming from different restaurants on the property. I also paid extra for the personal pool and we were never able to use it because it stayed shaded the whole time and water was too cold. That was a huge disappointment. People on the 2nd floor could all use their pool but no one on the 1st floor was using due to all shaded and cold.

When we got to the lobby for check-in the ladies at the front desk were very rude, it look like they had to give us instructions in order to stay in the hotel. The bed was concrete so you get to sleep in the rock bed! We asked for recommendations for breakfast and the two ladies at the lobby were very sarcastic. Never coming back to this hotel, they make you think is a privilege to stay there but it is not, they forget that they are in business for customers like us. Also the hotel is a cheap copy of the beautiful Hotel Camino Real Zaashila.

Nice location, but a couple of detracting issues
The hotel is well positioned on a beautiful beach in La Crucecita. The pool area is excellent and the pools themselves are great. There are a variety of excellent dining options at the hotel. The service around the pool was excellent and good value. Unfortunately what detracted from our stay was constant construction noise in and around the hotel. I raised this with management and escalated it, particularly as one aspect was constant drilling in the room next door to us which was being renovated. This was unacceptable but after 3 days eventually stopped (despite assurances each day the work would be completed that day). Front desk staff appeared disempowered to resolve issues like this and when escalated management were unwilling to offer any form of compensation for the disruption and inconvenience. I read lots of previous reviews around attention being needed to the room and amenities- given the noise it would seem some attention is being given to rooms, however basis changes like improvements to linen and towels have not been addressed. Given my experience with the management team, this does not surprise me. Despite the issues, Quinta Bella could be a great hotel. It just lets itself down in a few areas and when competition heats up, it may find guests make alternative choices
