Light, spacious and perfect for families or friends visiting North Devon. Situated between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe it’s ideal for a beach holiday. Saunton Sands, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe beaches are just down the road.
There are two king size double bedrooms and one bunk bed room sleeping 6 in comfort. All have built in wardrobes and proper nice mattresses! The master bedroom has an en-suite with a shower and the main bathroom has a bathtub and shower.
There are two storage cupboards for guests for all your beach kit, there is a rail over the bath for hanging wetsuits and indoor surfboard storage for anything up to 11ft.
The living space is open plan with a comfortable lounge, dining table and kitchen. There is a sea view and double doors open from the lounge to the decking. You’ll be very happy with the space, it still surprises us now! The kitchen is a proper kitchen with everything you need including a dishwasher. The dining table can be enlarged/reduced to suit your needs. The kitchen has an under counter fridge and separate under counter freezer but we have always found we needed more so there are another two fridges in the dining area. The sticker fridge and the Guinness beer fridge!!
Outside there is a private parking space, some grass and the decking which runs down the side and around the front of the lodge. From the decking the sea view looks over to Wales which you can easily see on a clear day.
The lodge is on a private holiday park, it’s peaceful and well looked after. There is even a great pub on-site with real ale and great food. The Depot comes highly recommended.
We bought our Lodge because we found we kept coming back to the area again and again as everyone loved it!! There is so much to do no matter what your age or interests. Beaches of every description are very close by, long sandy beaches like Saunton or Woolacombe, old smugglers coves like Lee Bay or wild dunes and beaches of Braunton Burrows. The Burrows is full of interesting artifacts from the preparation for the D-Day landings. It’s just a short drive to Lynton and Lynmouth with their famous railway and before that is the beautiful Heddon Valley with a great stream walk to the beach. The Valley of the rocks is in the same area and combined make a fantastic day out. There is Exmoor Zoo and a dinosaur park when the beach isn’t calling.
Mountain biking is a family favourite with loads of bridleways and the Tarka Trail on the doorstep cycling is safe and traffic free. Braunton has an amazing pump track and Ilfracombe has a cool skate park overlooking the bay and Damien Hurst’s ‘Verity’.
The lodge is pet friendly and great for kids. The bottom bunk has Star Wars curtains to help with day time naps!
We love our Lodge, it’s a home from home and has a lovely beach vibe going on. We hope you do too!
