Staff all seemed very friendly except in the restaurant at breakfast. I booked a premier room which included club lounge access but our door key did not let us in so we had to return it to reception for the update. Our room did not have bath robes or slippers and our tv did not work! Because of this we had to change rooms which is not ideal.The food in the club lounge was very poor, not a lot of choice unless you likes spicy food, so all you could have was bread and cheese. One this was gone, the food was not replenished so if you arrived late you got nothing. Also we were told the times for the club lounge had changed which we found to be very early and a number of children were in there. When we went to buy a drink later in the evening.in the hotel bar we were charged over £12 for a cheap rose wine! This is over £4 dearer than the last time we stayed in May. How can you justify this? We therefore decided not to drink in the hotel bar for the rest of our stay, and may possibly not stay at the hotel again unless small niggles are sorted out.

We had a lovely stay at the Crowne! Beds were so comfy and rooms were spacious. Breakfast was fantastic way to start the day and the pool was great to unwind at the end of your day - even better thay children could not access it after 6 pm! Close to shops and touristy bits and a great starting point to go a take excursions out of the city.
