I was ill and had to cancel my reservation due to nausea vomoting and diarrhea. I could not make the 2 hour drive nor go to the NYE party I paid for. Per Jasmin at the front desk she cancelled my reservation and said the hotel would NOT be charging the 3rd party site I paid thru. Hotels.com updated me my reservation fee was not waived by the hotel despite me being told otherwise.

We have stayed here before and had a great experience. What the issue was this time was that upon doing the online check-in my card was charged an extra $250 dollars plus the cost of our room (Almost $500 was charged to my card when less than $180 was our total cost). When I called I was informed everyone is now charged $250 as a deposit due to guests smoking and vaping. This was listed no where on their site. No where in the reservation. I was told this was a new hotel policy put in place 2- 3 weeks ago. What happens if you drive all the way there and dont have more than double the cost of your room? I feel this is very deceiving on the part of the hotel to not be up front about the cost. We would have chosen a different hotel. Unfortunately, despite the convenience and nice rooms we will not ever stay there again due to this. I understand a deposit. But one that costs more than our entire stay is absurd.

The parking ticket kept giving me trouble reading my ticket. One night, someone from the street came over to my car, asking questions. It was concerning how close he got. Having security or cameras being monitored should be considered to deter. But the hotel, staff was great.
