Unfortunate leak
Our group arrived at the house and after settling in we tried to log onto the wifi we noticed we were unable to connect. the owner then contacted me asking if there were any issues, and I stated we were having trouble connecting to the wifi. She reported that she received a notification that the thermostat was off line which is why she called. I offered to go check the router and reset and that I would call her back. During that time another person in our party used the upstairs bathroom shower and I noticed there was a leak with water coming down into the electrical panel/plug where the router was. I immediately turned the water off, provided a video to the owner, & unplugged the router. I sent the owner the video and called her, she said her husband would be there in about 10 minutes to check on it. Almost an hour later he arrived with no communication of the delay. I informed him if the issues with the router and the leak to which he responded “well did you use the bath upstairs?” I informed him I did and his response of “well” & body language implied that this was the obvious reason as to why this happened. We were never told not to use the bath/shower upstairs, & if an issue was known we should have been informed. The electrical panel was Then covered with a garbage bag as a solution, & after over an hour with tech support on the phone informed us the router was broken likely due to water damage and they would come back tomorrow to replace. No instructions re bathroom
