Staff were very accommodating as when we booked online and the booking page gave us a room that had been vacated that day, but not cleaned. Staff were happy to clean it at late notice for us so we could have a room for the night.
Very basic accommodation but it was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced compared to others in Invercargill.
Close to city.
Men’s toilets … no loo paper.
Woman’s bathroom no window .. literally , terrible during cold wet Invercargill weather.
Kitchen … no wash up liquid for 4 day stay.
The property is very run down and needs a good clean up. The towels were wet, there were dirty cups provided and nothing really felt clean. Carpets need a clean as they are smelly. I had booked two nights but could not stay the second. It was disappointing.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The taps were leaking and the microwave was gross and the tea towels were extremely wet
I made several phone calls and left messages if someone could contact me regarding an early check in. I had no replies to my messages and ended up staying elsewhere. And can't even get a refund!!!. Very disappointed.
Had a good sleep and shower. Left a library book in the room. Called them about it and followed up with a call to me that they had found it. Very helpful.

It was central to city, lost internet on day 2 of 4. Many areas though clean were in need of a spruce up.
Not much to say. We could not stay there as I entered an incorrect date (by one day) and Wotif and/or the venue refused to alter the date. LOUSY service; never going to touch Wotif again, and do not care a rat’s-arse about Central City Backpackers. We found much better, more flexible and accommodating lodgings elsewhere in Invercargill.

The camping park was in a fantastic location for us. Close to everything we needed and easy to access main highways when we needed to come and go.
The kitchen/lounge facilities were really clean, tidy and user friendly and the attached communal bathroom/shower facilities were as well.
Our motel unit was as clean and tidy as it could be but it absolutely stunk of stale cigarette smoke which had seeped into all fabrics in the room. No amount of opening windows and creating draughts through the room could ever lift that smell. As non-smokers we therefore found it difficult to feel comfortable in the motel unit itself.

Don't go there
I was picked up at the airport (free airport shuttle). On arrival at the Camping Park the woman in the office did not acknowledge me or speak, let alone smile. I was handed a key for cabin 3 but not taken to the cabin in the dark - I arrived after 6pm. The key did not fit No 3, or in fact, any of the cabins. Luckily the manager was back in the office so he finally came and assisted me. He ascertained there was something wrong with the lock and the smoke alarm fell off the roof in that cabin. I was moved to another cabin. When I inquired about transport to the airport in the morning I was told I would have to get a taxi - the manager was off to Queenstown in the morning. Shabby furnishings and mixture of odd blankets on the bed. Would not stay again.
Very friendly host, super comfortable bed, clean, warm room with quality bedding. Can't fault it and will be back!

The "silver single" is a room in a 5-10 year old shed with un-insulated neighbouring room walls. Water and bathrooms are across a gravel driveway. Definitely not worth $90 - this was a case of "any port in a storm".
The consolation was great service on arrival and a handy walk to town.
I'm not usually a camper however the cabin was small but clean and comfortable. The public facilities were also modern, clean and user friendly.
Close to the city centre, walking distance to 'Motorcycle Mecca' . Probably a ride to the 'Transport Museum' . Good spot!
