Had a great stay at Mardon. Spent three nights in a single room, which was snug but comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding every morning, with lots of options and generous portions. The location is great-- easily walkable to all inverness attractions. James and Angela were very warm, helpful hosts. Hard to imagine a better value for the price.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The property was very clean and was within walking distance of downtown, many restaurants and shops, and a peaceful river walk.
Wonderful stay with James & Angela! Great vintage cottage feel with all the charm in the world. Hosts were so warm and accommodating. Highly recommend for any visitors to the Inverness area!!
As a lone traveller, I appreciated being able to book a single room, which I find unusual. The accommodation was excellent and the hosts were keen to introduce guests to each other, which created a good atmosphere in the dining room. A very good choice of menu for breakfast each morning.
All in all, a very enjoyable and refreshing few days break.
James and Angela were wonderful hosts. They made me feel very welcome and shared lovely stories and recommendations around the area. My bed was super comfy. The property location was ideal for walking around town to shops and restaurants.
Truly amazing B&B just on the second lane off the river Ness, great hosts who can advise you if you have no idea what to do in Inverness, hearty full Scottish breakfast adds a lot to the value.
Perfect spot for our Inverness visit. James and Angela made us feel so comfortable. Very good homemade breakfast, fluffy robes in the room, comfy bed and nice towels. So easy to walk across the “bouncy bridge” for restaurants, music bars, shopping, etc.
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at James and Angela’s place. They are kind and helpful people. The place is maintained meticulously! The place is within walking distance to transportation stations, restaurants and attractions. They prepared a delicious breakfast for us every morning with various selections. We would not hesitate to recommend their place to others. Thank you James and Angela!
James and Angela were delightful hosts. They bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable. They were informative, accommodating, and quick with a smile. It was such a pleasure experiencing historic Inverness and staying in this comfortable 19th century guesthouse.
I am overall impressed with the property being close to the city centre. The operators are very polite and try to be as accommodating as possible. My only suggestion is for the operator to not knock on the guest's door in the prior evening knowing the guest has to leave really early in the following morning.
James and Angela are amazing hosts. We had a great room, immaculate in fact. Their breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, a great start to active days of touring. We highly recommend the The Mardon House and hope to return and stay there again one day!
James and Angela run a lovely property just across the river from the center of Inverness. James was an utter sweetheart who eagerly mapped out the sites for us and kept the place running. Breakfast was top notch every morning, before a quick walk through the Tesco car park and over the bridge to get to town. We didn't have a car, but other guests raved about how lucky it was to have a dedicated lot for cars (and given the crazy construction around, I wouldn't disagree). Other guests mentioned they were returning patrons and we'll definitely be back on our next trip to Scotland.
Super clean, comfy and quiet room within walking distance of Inverness city center. Breakfast is scheduled the night before and cooked fresh.
The street is a narrow residential street, parking is tight and very limited.
As a first time customer of a guest house, we are more accustomed to the ability to check in and out 24 hrs a day.
The hosts are very helpful and friendly regarding recommendations for local dining and attractions.
