This property is very-well located with eateries galore right outside this quaint boutique hotel. Main Street is a one-minute walk away and the sites abound in all directions. My room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. Unfortunately, the call-to-prayer sound tower was situated right outside my window (3rd floor) and the ritual is deafening....5 times a day starting at 5:30AM. By Western standards, the provided breakfast was tasty but lacked any fruit or egg options other than solf-boiled and/or sliced eggs. Chicken sausage was the sole breakfast-meal choice other than cold-cuts. If taking a taxi to this hotel, be prepared to be blocked-in by other vehicles in front of you and to the rear. I found the staff and owner to be ready to engage in conversation in English on several topics which made me feel like a person more than just a customer! Being disabled, my only serious concern/negative feedback is that of the steep down-sloping marble entrance/exit stairs that have no ramp. It was explained to me by the owner he has petitioned the Turkish-version of Historical Places for a ramp several times over the years only to be denied the ramp due to the building being of historical value/relevance. With that said, this property is not truly "handicap-accessible." Otherwise, I would gladly stay here again if my travels were to bring me back to Istanbul. All in all, I have no qualms in recommending this hotel to others!
