**Review for Hotel Richmond** I recently stayed at Hotel Richmond for 10 days, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel’s location in the heart of Taksim is its biggest advantage—being centrally located meant we didn’t need taxis or buses to visit the main monuments and attractions, which made our stay very convenient. The breakfast, however, was not up to expectations. Considering the hotel's price range and star rating, I believe it could be improved to better match its standards. The check-out experience was mixed. The receptionist was exceptionally kind and helpful, ensuring everything went smoothly. However, the assistant manager left a bad impression. At check-in, we were told that the chips and Snickers provided in the room were complimentary for the first day. Unfortunately, on the last day, the assistant manager rudely demanded payment for these items, despite the earlier assurance. To make matters worse, he spoke only in Turkish with his colleagues in front of us, which felt disrespectful. While the location and general service were good, this incident with the assistant manager significantly affected our overall experience. Improvements in professionalism and transparency would make this hotel an even better choice for travelers.

Hotel was okay, price is just for location. Breakfast buffet did not look good couldn’t eat it. The AC did not work well in our room and we sweat all night. My back hurts from the bed. Gym was nice. Workers were nice. Conviene location.

Very convenient location and friendly staff. I should mention Solin at breakfast food court ( my friend left her necklace on the table , next day when we walked in for breakfast Solin brought the necklace to us and said you dropped your necklace yesterday, reception desk and bell boys all very courteous and friendly and lastly the housekeeping lady was extremely nice and polite and did an amazing job to keep our room clean.

We were given a room that wreaked of smoke even though we obviously had booked a non-smoking room. Upon raising the issue, they offered to switch to another room which wasn't as nice. Despite this, the location of this hotel is so good we forgot about the smoke and just stayed in the original room. It's Istanbul anyways and people smoke everywhere! Other good things about the hotel are the breakfast, as well as helpful staff. The gym is small but still usable.

I give four star to following reason: I liked the location of the hotel in the middle of shopping district but there is one big problem in regards to accessibility via taxi. There was five of us with large luggages and the Taxi drivers got into very heated argument with local police in two different occasions since they wouldn't allow for taxi to unload for two minutes. I'd like to mention that access to hotel is a bit difficult since small roads ending up to Isteklal Cd. are all steep and handling and dragging large luggages are quite challenging. I believe the hotel should make an arrangement with local officers to accommodate this problem and consider an exception.

Amazing hotel
