The room was unclean. Lots of Dead flies on windowsills and hair in the drain of the shower/tub. This is a ranch so understand the flies but they could have checked the room before we arrived and taken down the fly strips! It seemed like a room that hadn’t been used in awhile. Good location to Tetons. People working there friendly. Had a decent meal at the restaurant (late fall so only place available nearby).

Just an Off Stay
We had one night here to visit the GTNP. This was just an off visit. I don't think I would return. The only reason we stayed was location.
More details: It was hard to find the office to check in. Once we did, it seemed we were interrupting the guy to check us in. It was awkward and I don't think he wanted to be there. I asked about a few things and he didn't want to share additional information about the place. Example, there was a sign taped to the desk about the chili. When I asked how it was, it was like I asked his social security number. He didn't understand why I would ask him. IT was weird. There is a ton of papers you need to sign so you know not to steal anything and the additional fees. The room wasn't fully clean. The parking is tight and stairs to the room we were in. Glad we didn't have a lot of bags or a wheel chair. There are limited plugs in the room near the bed.
Not trying to bash, but customer service was not really a thing here.
Terribly poor information on how to check in. This info should have been on the door of each unit and the way to the check-in desk marked with arrows and well lighted. Such was not the case. with a little bit of effort they could have made check-in easy rather than, as it was, terribly diffdicult.
Property is set up for hunters. Has kennels with dogs that bark all night right beside the rooms. This is not what website shows us. Common area in cottages have not been swept, dusted or cleaned in at least a year. If you are not a hunter with dogs I do not recommend anyone stay here. Restaurant on property hours state 7:00am until 9pm we never seen it open. No staff on property for any probkens
I might have come into the property at a strange time, because someone told me that the "high season" had ended and they are getting ready for winter season (low season). The property "felt" that way. It was very difficult to find any staff around outside of meal hours. I saw that they turned another guest away at dinner because it was too late (7:30??) There were dead flies and dirtiness everywhere in the main Lodge. Most of the staff except for the horse riding guide and the check-in staff were absolutely terrible. It's like they have never been in a customer service or hospitality role before. The food was a complete rip off. With tip you can count on a meal being around $25 per person, and for hastily put together low quality food. The cabins were just ok. The walls are paper thin and no TV's. The best part was the horse riding and then actually getting off the property to go see the Grand Teton park and the Yellowstone park. I'm glad I got a feel for the area by staying here, but I would not stay or recommend Heart 6 Ranch.
I would definitely never do this place again. I understand that it is a working ranch, but the amount of flies in our room was crazy! They needed some fly strips or at least a flyswatter. They had pulled down blinds that left a gap in the window of about 2 inches on each side so people could see in, our room was right on the road.
I would definitely eat before you get to this place, the prices were outrageous. We did not eat here, but the chili was $18 and you had to actually buy the biscuit to go with it.
Good jumping off spot if you are visiting Teton and or Yellowstone, in this case I stayed the night before flying out of Jackson and it was an easy drive to the airport. Late check in was friendly and the place was cool. Comfy bed and artful comforters and decorations matching the environment. Wolves close by all howling in unison to the full moon, great end to a perfect day in Eastern Yellowstone.

Dude Ranch style property with great view of the Tetons at sunset.
This is the first time I’ve ever left a hotel for an issue. Our room was dirty with dead flies. There were more than 30 dead flies on the window sill and more on the floors of all the rooms, and piles of them in the lights. There was fly paper on all on the windows. I have pictures of this all. BEWARE. Please consider the negative reviews before booking. We spoke with the woman at the front desk, who said flies are normal. No offer to refund or move to a different room.
This property has amazing views, however it is outdated and a bit falling apart. The decking outside the rooms is loose and feels unsafe. Aside from clean bedding and towels its quite clear the rooms are not cleaned. The shower which definitely had not been cleaned would only work either boiling hot or freezing cold. We were only there for 1 night so made do, but i wouldnt have wanted to be there any longer than that.
The room was not cleaned, dirt clots on the rug, a tag from a shirt on the dresser, and someone left half used bars of soap in the shower and they were not cleaned/taken away. Also, there was a door between the rooms and there was more than an inch of space under the door, we could hear our neighbors as if they were in the room with us. That was uncomfortable.
Room was clean & beds comfortable. Could hear everything on rooms on either side. Had locked doors to rooms on either side. Ran out of water after a minute $ gas to wait 10 minutes to get another minute. The lodge/bar/restaurant was neat but in need of updating.
Very real, likable staff. Horseback riding was great! Location was beautiful. Water was smelly and needs a filter. Otherwise, a perfect place to experience Wyoming!

The room we were given had a sink that was falling off the wall. It leaked as well as the toilet leaked. I felt the girl at check in was very uninterested when we told her about the condition of the bathroom. She just jotted down what was wrong and did not try to make it right. I wish it had had a microwave as the prices for food were very high.
I am sure that Heart 6 was a great facility 30 years ago but it is currently in extreme disrepair. The walkways and railings are falling apart and the bathroom in my room was full of lime stains and rust. Also cleanliness was not a priority. I will never return and will warn others not to stay there. In addition there was no water in the lodge one morning …I cut my stay short by a day.
I would not recommend this place at all ever. The room was dirty and so close to the next room we could hear every word which was arguing and even when they blew their noses. The room was nasty and there was NO water. This is not acceptable. I think they tried to accommodate more than they’re ready for. I’m really shocked Expedia will even offer it.
Very unique experience. Secluded and quiet. Will return and make use of covered wagons available for overnight rental. Definitely very remote from any other towns. Jackson Hole is 40 mins away and closest town we know of for other food options. Cafe on site available.
