It was in an area with no sidewalks so it limited my morning walk. The women at the front desk when we checked in was not nice. During the stay everyone else was very pleasant.
This is a small hotel very convenient to US70. The carpet in our room looked like rubber type carpet tiles. They felt wet to bare feet and the room had a very strong chemical smell. We only stayed two nights and the smell didn’t get any better. Other than the strong chemical odor, the room was very clean and adequate. That being said, we will choose a different hotel the next time we visit New Bern.
I liked the friendly, courteous staff and the breakfast buffet. I didn't like what appeared to be mold in the shower. It wasn't a lot, but any is too much.

Front desk seemed nicer than the actual room. Carpet in room was sticky and the bath tub didn’t drain properly. The staff on duty when we arrived was very nice, but didn’t take note of the booking with pet for the room and when they saw our dog the next day they were a bit rude about it and asked why we hadn’t told them about the dog needed to pay a pet fee and usually they needed to now because they place pets in certain floors of the hotel. We felt as if we were being accused of trying to not pay for a pet fee.
We were downgraded from a King Study to a double with no notice. Hotel staff were not present and available when it came time to check out, we were kept waiting for 15-20 minutes. I will not be staying at this location again

The bed was AWFUL!!! Did not sleep at all. Room was cramped. Shower was terrible
Unfortunately our room was so moldy and musty it was hard to sleep. The room did not come with sheets for the pull out sofa but the front desk provided us with linens. The tub was slimy, the toilet area was not clean. Not what we would expect from a Hampton Inn.
This is a well managed hotel. All staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and spacious.

Tracy and other ladies at front desk were so kind. Room - dirty ac blew fan air not cold and toilet ran and did not flush. For price very disappointing
Staff were wonderful and friendly. They had a dog gift bag ready for our pupper when we checked in. The room was clean and just what we expected. Next to the hotel, there is a large field to walk your dog. Breakfast was different every day, and each rotation was delicious. The hotel was quiet and is away from the main road, but still close to different restaurants and shops. We’re planning our next trip and will definitely be staying here again.
