Carefully restored historic home surrounded by palm trees. One of the oldest remaining 1920's cedar shake beach cottages in Jacksonville Beach area divided into two separate cozy upstairs and downstairs. You can rent both units for large parties! Units are across the street from the ocean on highly desirable, quiet Ocean Drive. Walk less than a minute down foot path to the ocean. Walking distance to popular local Bold Bean Coffee, Florida Juice Bowl, Casa Maria Mexican restaurant and Whole Foods. Fully equipped 2 bedroom unit with 2 porches We have everything you need for a chill old school beach vacation! Top unit has large screened porch and back deck with seating. Brand new premium mattresses. Just a wonderful location and ocean breezes. Pet fee is $125 per pet per stay 2 pet max.

Wonderful Experience
This was our first time staying at Schmidt’s Creek Beach Cottage and we loved: the location across from the beach, the older cottage, the neighborhood, the screen deck, and the overall updated feel of the cottage. Cindy was incredibly responsive answering my questions before the trip. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet, and safe. We definitely plan on returning for future visits!

Very cute and clean. Seems recently renovated. Beach is very close (you are almost on the beach, behind one house). Beach not too crowded. Wi-Fi was slow. Had to use cellphone hot spots for computers. But the streaming TV worked fine.

Wonderful stay
Nice wooden beach house, with charm and all the elements one would be interested in for from a beach vacation. Easy access to the beach. Safe, friendly area. Beautiful home. Lots of kid's activities in the area and Whole Foods grocery was super close. Hosts are friendly and readily available if needed. Towels and sheets for plentiful. Clean kitchen, and the washer and dryer came in handy. I really liked the sink and newly made wooden doors. I like to cook my own food so the kitchen being stocked with cooking pans and bowls was nice. Only "issue" will mention that the mattresses are extremely hard, because I didn't sleep well on this trip. This is a personal preference but worth mentioning for those who truly care about this. And if bringing or renting a car, choose a compact car and the driveway is shared and if you are to park on the right-hand side, it's difficult to maneuver out. Thank you for a great trip to Florida.

Holiday Beach Weekend to See Pregnant Daughter
This is an amazing property. An original beach Bungalow, steps from the sand, kept in mint condition with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were vey welcoming and everything met or exceeded expectations. We had a magical time and have already discussed coming back.

Absolutely amazing!
This place had everything you could need and steps to the beach. They even provided soap, towels, toilet paper,etc. the place is beautifully decorated and feels like home with comfy mattresses with all cotton bedding(no sweaty polyester or microfiber!). We will definitely be back.

Great location and friendly neighborhood!
We loved everything about our stay! This place comes as advertised. Clean and comfy in a quiet neighborhood. You can’t beat the location, the walkway way to the the beach was just a few steps from the front door. We enjoyed cooking dinner in the kitchen and eating our meals on the screened in front porch while hearing the waves break on the shore. Cindy was a great host! We will definitely be back!!
