Experience the authenticity of Mammaw and Pappaw Darnell’s home place ½ miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway and across the street from the Raccoon Holler Campground lake. The beautiful lake is right in front of the home place. Used to about 5 years ago, there was no water or bathroom in this cabin. After Mammaw passed away, it was our dream to restore the home and leave the rooms as Mammaw had them in order to share the love of the cabin with others. Now complete with granite counter tops, hardwood floors, and whirlpool tub with it has all the modern day luxuries. You will really enjoy your time here – two bedrooms (i.e., three full beds as two are upstairs in one room), full bathtub, separate shower, washer dryer, dishwasher microwave, hardwood floors, natural beams etched with pine hardwood to provide the rustic cabin feel yet with the modern day appliances of comfort including flat screen cable television.
This property also has RV hookup. If you have RV, you can connect it all here
Sit on the front porch and look at the lake, view the lake from the kitchen, living room and upstairs bedroom. This home place offers authenticity and comfort. Convenient to Jefferson and West Jefferson, 22 miles out the Blue Ridge Parkway to Boone and a mile from the famous Northwest Trading Post, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 miles from Wilkesboro, come home to Raccoon Holler
