Kelly Cottage - A local Hollywood story

This beautifully restored 1922 cottage was relocated 2016 from Terralong Street Kiama to its current location overlooking stunning Jamberoo valley, Saddleback Mountain and Jerrara Falls. Built by Mr and Mrs W Kelly, whose son George Orry Kelly put Kiama on the map when he won 3 Oscar Academy awards for movie costume design, the cottage retains many of its beautiful original features such as the polished floorboards and ornate ceilings. The walls display some examples of Orry's costume designs for Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis and Tony Curtis while the DVD and memoir "Women I've Undressed- The Fabulous Life and Times of a Legendary Hollywood Designer" are available to enjoy during your stay.
The cottage is on a working farm in a beautiful rural setting with plenty to see and do either locally or in the towns of Kiama or Jamberoo (each only 5 mins drive away).

Wonderful stay
My family (two adults and our 18 month old) had a great stay at Kelly Cottage. There was nothing not to love. The cottage itself is cute and cosy and well-appointed (as well as with an interesting history). The setting and views are serene and stunning, and yet its so conveniently located only 5 mins drive to Kiama. Cate was prompt, friendly and helpful in all communication. We hope to be back again one day.

Wonderful relaxing stay
We had a simply beautiful time at Kelly's cottage. The house was cosy and warm, clean and full of lots of lovely touches that made our stay relaxing and comfortable. Our kids loved feeding the chickens and going on a tour of the farm. The location is simply beautiful every way you look and so close to Kiama! I have recommended this place to both friends and family as it really was an idyllic stay.

Stunning location, gorgeous cottage
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It has so much character and we sat out on the seats on the verandah for hours looking at the view. The location is stunning! Cate was so helpful and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble and communication was very fast. She took us for a buggy ride around the farm to visit the cattle and horses. I’d definitely stay again. Thanks Cate and Neil!

Absolutely gorgeous getaway
This place is just fabulous. So much care and attention to detail has been taken and only 5 minutes into Kiama. I am so very glad I booked here and I can't wait to come back again. The only small issue is that the washer/dryer combo, we believe after extensive googling is a washer only and not a dryer. If it is a washer/dryer combo then some instructions would be fabulous. But hey, there's a clothesline so no harm done.

School Holidays in Kiama
We’ve had a wonderful stay at Kelly’s Cottage. The house was pristine clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable family stay. We were welcomed with a small basket of goodies for lunch and we had a visit from 2 adorable puppies. The cottage is conveniently located between Kiama’s city centre and the beautiful rainforest so there is plenty to do. The cottage is set at a magnificent rural setting with a beautiful garden at the back. Every evening we enjoyed watching fog setting at the saddleback mountain whilst enjoying our wine on the front verandah. Thank you Cate and Neil for a wonderful stay.

Lovely cottage perfectly located to enjoy the area
We had a lovely time at Kelly Cottage. The place was spotless and even though it is an older cottage it has all of the conveniences of a modern dwelling (a/c, dishwasher, proper beds and linen) The location is excellent (views, quiet, private) but also close enough to Kiama town and the regional attractions. The hosts were also fantastic. Would stay again for sure . Highly recommended.

A delightful stay!
We loved our time at Kelly Cottage, every minute of it &, given it rained a fair bit with 2 very active young boys, couldn’t have asked for more. The house has everything you needed, the view was gorgeous & the fire place a winner. The trip round the farm was a treat too, thanks Neil. Thanks Cate & Neil we will be back!

You’ll want to go back again.
A lovely, welcoming 3 bedroom cottage set amongst the rolling green hills behind Kiama. We enjoyed everything about Kelly’s Cottage from sipping champagne whilst watching the sunset over the hills from the porch, to an epic family games night battle by the warmth of the wood fire. The beds were super comfortable too. Like us you will be planning on returning.

Amazing stay, had everything we needed. Hosts were great and made our stay welcoming and helped with all of our needs. Only a couple of minutes drive to Kiama town centre, it was a beautiful place to stay away from the busy town.

Beautiful vintage styled cottage!
Our family of 5 stayed at Kelly cottage and absolutely loved it! The owners were lovely and looked after us well, whilst respecting our privacy. The cottage was clearly well looked after and very clean, vintage styled, but with the modern comforts we needed to make it a very relaxing stay. Not to mention, a stunning location in Jerrara! Thanks for making it a great stay, we would love to come again sometime!
