Loved the location and the proximity to both the PATH line and ferry lines to Manhattan but our check in process was a NIGHTMARE. The hotel claimed that we had cancelled our reservation and that they no longer had our reservation, which was impossible as I had already received confirmations and reminders from Expedia just prior to our stay. As front desk ( which was makeshift as hotel is going thru Renos ) made us figure out this issue on our own, 3 other sets of guests tried to check in and same problem, they were all told their reservations were cancelled. This was obviously a hotel issue and not Expedia as once I was able to reach someone at Expedia, we were told the reservation should be in their system. Then after almost an hour of dealing with this, we were told that since it was 3pm and check in was not until 4pm, we would get a text once our rooms were ready. We never received said text and when we returned to the hotel at 10pm that night after a long day in the city, did not receive an explanation as to why we were never sent a text. It was the most unpleasant and nerve wracking check in process ever. Also told nothing was open or available to us as hotel was going thru renos, wish we would’ve been informed of this.

Right next to a path station. Which provides quick trip to manhattan. Staff was exceptional. They upgraded us to free breakfast and wonderful room with view of the city for our honeymoon. This would be the only place we’d stay if and when we return to the area

Had two rooms. Both were clean and comfortable enough. One did not have a refrigerator. Neither were clean/ready upon arrival an hour after check in time. The time it took to get into at least one room for luggage took valuable time from our evening plans in NYC.

Arrived only to find out our room was canceled. Without being told. Then we were told there were NO rooms available anywhere in the area. Husband called hotels.com and they booked us AND billed us for a room 3 states away. Now we cant get our money back. I can't add a pic, because we didn't stay there.

Due to renovations, not all facilities were available as usual, e.g. breakfast was served in the ballroom. We were assigned one of the renovated rooms, which was very nice, just the bathtub wasn't obviously replaced and its state didn't match that of the room. Staff at the temporary front desk was nice and helpful, the view of Manhattan AMAZING. The neighbourhood was very nice and transportation from NYC very easy.

I’ve stayed before and I definitely would wait until renovations are complete before going back. It wasn’t noisy or inconvenient, it’s just not the same wow factor as when all areas are open. With that being said it’s a nice property and super convenient. Clean and the staff was so helpful.
