Excellent hotel. Excellent staff, who went out of their way to help. Hotel & rooms were modern & clean. Pool & surrounding area was excellent, which was good because beach very crowded. My only criticism would be I felt the egg station was exceptionally slow at breakfast, however my girlfriend disagrees so I’ll leave it for you to decide! We will definitely stay here next time we’re in Joao Pessoa.

We were visiting Brazil from the US for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding. Our entire family and many friends stayed at the Oceana resort. The Oceana exceeded our expectations! The rooms were elegant and the location was superb. The staff was absolutely amazing. We do not speak Portuguese, but that didn't stop the staff from going above and beyond to help us every step of the way. The location is beautiful. The amenities are abundant. We loved the beautiful buffet breakfast every morning, the drinks and food were flowing and delivered to us by the pool. I kept saying I felt like we were on a beautiful cruise ship. We did not want to leave. Karol was so helpful to us as well. Do not hesitate to book your stay here. We highly recommend the Oceana Atlantico Hotel! We hope to visit again next year! Thank you so much for your hospitality and keep up the great work! Five stars all the way!

Excellent hotel, likely the best hotel in Joao Pessoa. The property is beautifully decorated and designed. The rooms are spacious, clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. The only opportunities for improvement are: more lounge chairs both on the beach and the pool. Faster service in the restaurant. Better lighting in the bathroom/vanity area. I also noticed for a hotel like this to not offer an amenity kit in the bathroom was strange. Overall though, I was very happy and would and will definitely stay here again.

Staff was great! The jacuzzi was not working for several days after we arrived and was by appt only. We were told we couldn’t take the pool towels to the beach. (Apparently this was incorrect and didn’t find out until we were leaving) The room was good. The beach was amazing. The food was excellent. All in all, would stay here again.

This is the second time we stay at this property and unfortunately the experience wasn’t as positive this time. In a clear effort to cut costs, the hotel is no longer heating the outside pool (we asked for it at least 5 times), the temperature of the water in room (shower and sink) was lukewarm, and the jacuzzi wasn’t working either. Instead of disclosing all of these shortcomings on the website or at check-in, the staff simply said that the jacuzzi wasn’t working. If you want to use the sauna, it’s also necessary to request in advance so that they can turn it on and wait until it heats up. You also need to take a class on how to operate the safe box in the room if you wish to use it. I’m yet to see a more cumbersome hotel safe box. The staff listens to the feedback and smiles back, but that’s it. They don’t address the problem right away. I don’t know if it’s because they can’t do anything about management’s decision to cut costs wherever they can, or lack of hospitality training.
