Structure is old but well taken care of. Both outside doors need replacing or at least the lock on one.

Older motel but clean, warm & tidy. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom very small but it did have a new & great water-pressured shower. The door could do with some attention as it bangs & rattles in the wind. A microwave would have been an asset for us to reheat food.

We loved our room. It had excellent views of the water (we were the front unit). Could open up 2 sliding glass doors in the living room area to let the breeze in to make it seem like you were outside. Friendly and helpful managers. Free laundry right onsite. Comfortable bed. Would definitely stay there and in this unit again.

Overall good value and great location
Very pleasant place to stay. No frills motel feel with parking right outside the motel door. The location was directly across street from beach and ocean. Less than 10 minute walk to small downtown area. Would stay again if we are able.

We booked the superior room, which was really a 1 bedroom. It was quite a good value for the money. We had a small patio on the esplanade as well which looked over the road to beautiful Kaikoura Bay. Very pretty. Condition of property was excellent.
