This hotel offers some great perks, like stunning ocean views and a variety of daily activities. Also, its close proximity to my snorkeling meet-up point, only 6 minutes walking. On the downside, I can see how the lack of clear signage, especially for check-in, would be frustrating. The hotel check-in is located on the second floor, but there were no clear directions, which made it confusing. I ended up walking around the ground floor near the parking lot for about 10 minutes before finally having to ask another guest for directions.

Great location. We had ocean front views with a nice balcony. The resort is open and lots to do for all family members. Room was spacious and bathroom was nice. Only recommendarion is to upgrade the mattresses as they were really soft.

This is a very nice property. The views are great, the rooms recently remodeled and very nice. The pools are great, with a large and very fun water slide (wife and I are 63yrs old and rode the slide more than once!). I believe its the only hotel in the world where you can view manta rays from an observation deck just about every night! The only con is that the food availability is limited, with just one restaurant on premises, however the food is very good. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We will go back to the Outrigger Kona any time we are on the Island of Hawaii.

This hotel has something no other hotel in the world has - manta rays! You can see them from the hotel at night, ita and amazing experience. Also, lots of activities for everyone, Hawaiian culture, pool games, slide, live using, farmers and crafts market, and more. Excellent value for the money, really wonderful hotel...

The pool and manta viewing is amazing. When they say resort view it’s actually the parking lot not a garden. And it’s really loud and echoing with all the car alarms and locks sounding off. The staff seemed more stressed as it got busier. I don’t think they have enough staff for a large rush. Love the water bottles and the activities. The cultural centre was incredible. Wish we had taken advantage of more of the activities!

Amazing hotel with amazing views
Kona Outrigger was a fantastic hotel. From check-in (shout out to Michael for setting everything up) to check out, the hotel delivered. It was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. You could tell that the hotel wasn't new, but it was keep very well and the grounds were beautiful. There were 2 pools, one for families and one for adults. The view were spectacular and we were also able to see the manta rays at night while we watched the snorkelers. Overall, it was a 10, and we would absolutely stay there again.
