Yes- the setting is gorgeous, but it seems that this place was living off that and didn’t have to put any effort in elsewhere.
The place overall was “tired” and needs a bit of money spending on updating it.
During our 4 days there, there was not once anyone on reception or anyone making you feel “welcome”. This I thought was really quite odd.
The WiFi coverage was shocking and only really worked in the pool area.
The breakfast was simply not acceptable. Some would say “basic” but this was below “ basic”. It was like the hotel’s policy was “ ok we know we have to provide breakfast but let’s do it as cheaply as we possibly can”. My kids are a bit fussy, but everywhere else can always find something,.., but not here. A good example is the Orange Juice - it was orange squash - unforgivable and unacceptable.
But... the setting was stunning, and the pool was nice
