Deck yourself out in blue and yellow and catch the Vegalta Sendai at their home ground, Sendai Stadium. Located 35 kilometres away in Sendai, you can also go and throw your support behind the Sony Sendai FC.

There's nothing quite like jumping out of bed and getting in some fresh turns at Zao Hot Springs Ski Resort. Once you've hit all the trails there, pack up your snowboard and test your skills at Shichikasyuku Ski Area.

Taiwa, 20 kilometres to the southeast, is popular for Spring Valley Izumi Kogen Ski Area and Mt. Izumigatake. Why not find your way there and stop by these outstanding attractions? Alternatively, you could stop at Tomiya-machi, 30 kilometres to the southeast of Kami, for Nanakita Park and Sendai-Izumi Premium Outlets.

Approximately 40 kilometres to the southeast, Rifu is a place with lots to offer. The Tohoku History Museum, Taga Castle Ruins and the Urakasumi Sake Brewery are all nearby. Keep in mind, Former Kamei House and Okama Shrine are also worthwhile.
