Stay before when visiting the area the management and staff are amazing and friendly we stayed in the rooms on the river and for £10 a night can’t beat it for any bag packer /couples there are usually 3 rooms on each row the walls are made of bamboo so can hear neighbours talking the bedding is clean and have English toilets and shower is hot water and fresh towel the bed a little hard this is to stop mosquitos eating into the material food is ok good variety of like curries and simple snacks for the price it was a nice enjoyable stay watching the work go by staying and sleeping on the River Kwai x
I liked that it was old and quaint and on the river.
I didn't like the attitude of the young staff, it was a bit unfriendly.

Great location
Great location, close to everything bars, restaurants, easy walk to river Kwai bridge. Awesome view from restaurant and raft rooms to river. Close to main tourist road but still far enough to be peaceful and quiet.
Rooms and overall resort a bit outdated and in need of long term renovations. Overall still recommend for a night or two.

good price for the quality but nothing more
good price for the quality but poor internet speed;
only 2 electric sockets in the room and one needed for the elctric fan.
no free water in the room.
very nice view on the river.
friendly staff
Fantastic setting on the river with a rustic feel close to best area in town. Walls are paper thin meaning neighbours wake you up, chairs on balcony are uncomfortable and room wasn't serviced during our 3 night stay.
First of all the room is beautiful for its price so just be aware of few moments that can disturb. Walls are very thin so you can literally hear everything that's going on in your neighbor's room. We were happy to stay 4 nights without neighbors. Location is very nice, close to bars but not close enough to to hear music and noise. Also in the evening there is a beautiful view from your room to the sunset.
Lovely quiet location down by the river. The raft room was very basic but excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and meals were nice. The hotel driveway leads to the main tourist street.
Kanchanaburi was booked out for that weekend because there was a marathon on, and this was one of the few rooms available a week out - and now we know why. We stayed in a raft room for US$45. I think overpriced for what you got - paper thin walls, stained towels & sheets, tiny little door latch ie unsecured room - it was a bit of a dump, The only good thing about it was the central location for the tourist strip. Not recommended except in a pinch.
Great for a budget traveller, in a great spot and literally on the river! Different rooms for a little extra, but we got one for 150baht. However being rainy season, it rained and water did start dripping through the roof. They moved us which was fine.
There is a cheap, nice restaurant at the hotel.
We stayed in one of the floating rooms on the river. The view from the balcony was worth it. The location of the guest house is very central, and quiet, considering the proximity to the bars. The staff could have been friendlier or more welcoming, but they weren't rude either.
We stayed in a raft room but it was really unclean and it was also really noisy. The walls are so thin that we were kept awake one night by the man in the next room snoring and if you are going at the weekend, there are boat parties on the river that run into the night. However the restaurant area did have a lovely view onto the river.
The guest house is nicely located and our room was floating on the river and had an amazing view. Staff was nice and helpful.
But our blankets seemed old and didn’t appear newly washed, so we slept with our own blankets instead. There was also no hot water as the water heater was broken, so showers were cold. The walls are literally paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING next door. The first night unfortunately our neighbour was a loud family with a crying baby so we didn’t sleep much at all. Our second night we had no noisy neighbours and we slept well. All in all it’s an ok place for the price if you are lucky to have quiet neighbours, but bring ear plugs just in case
