DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY! I’m not from Kansas City and was unfamiliar with the area. I booked this on Expedia because it was close to the venue we were attending and it had decent reviews. I would bet my next paycheck that employees are leaving fake reviews! I pulled up and went inside to check in. The employees are behind bulletproof glass. First thing I noticed was the smell. Smelled of cigarette smoke and sewage. (I’m a smoker so it didn’t bother me but since when can you smoke in a hotel???) not to mention I had my kids with me, yes they're 18 but still don’t want them around that. Got the keycards and pulled around to where our rooms were. Observed people hanging out the 2nd floor windows, broken windows and a police officer standing next to a truck that appeared to have their windows shot out. ( I thought hotel windows didn’t open??) I don’t usually just a book by its cover but it was clear the people standing around were junkies. I immediately went back in and gave them the cards and told them we can’t stay here. We never even stepped foot in the room. They’re refusing to give me a refund, repeatedly claiming there is no manager on duty and refusing to even give a managers name. I would be ok with a cancellation fee but I’m now out $400! I’m a single mom and that’s a lot of money to me, not to mention I had to spend $400 elsewhere. Not only is this place physically disgusting but so is the behavior of their staff by robbing me!
