It was fine for what it was. Room wasn't as clean as I'd expect, i.e. tub hair catcher had hairs and debris caught from more than just the most recent guest, plastic cup of liquid of some kind from previous guests sitting in window frame, bug carcasses on the floor by the windows, small stuff like that.
Not cleanliness related, but noticeable that the bathroom vanity light fixture had two different shades of bulbs which made it off-putting to have them on.
Overall it was what I needed as I just needed a place to crash for the night, but places like this hold so much potential to provide particularly delightful, unadvertised and unexpected personal touches to the hospitality experience and that wasn't my experience here, this time.
Definitely worth staying, though, if unique inns attract you (they do me)!
