Excellent hotel with good restaurants & cozy spa!
Very high standards, excellent service and perfectly located in the city center if you drive (paid parking) is around the corner and if you come by train about 200 meters from the train station and close to the Central Square for acces to several buses! Nearby the river for a nice walk and at walking distance from several nice restaurants. ZanziBar is higly recommended! The most expensive alternative for accommodation in Karlstad but worth it though! Their restaurant on the first floor has excellent food with an open air section and a closed one if you visit during winter!!!

Två övernattningar i december -24
Jag och min man samt vår 1,5-åriga son bodde på Fratelli både på vår väg till och hem från Sälen. Vid båda tillfällena var vi väldigt nöjda med hotellet. Det är nog egentligen långt från tänkt att vara ett familjehotell, men vi tyckte det fungerade bra och alla i personalen var så tålmodiga med vår lille son (som har mycket spring i benen!). Frukosten var god och där fanns det mesta. Man kunde t.ex. göra sin egen ”grilled cheese sandwich”. Jag såg dock inte någon tomatjuice (jag gillar nämligen att kunna göra en egen virgin Mary på hotellfrukosten!) och inte heller nån blåbärs- eller nyponsoppa, men där fanns den vanliga äpple- och apelsinjuicen och även två olika hälsoshots. I övrigt ett väl godkänt frukostutbud och man behöver inte gå därifrån hungrig. En av kvällarna testade vi hotellets bar och deli. De hade goda pizzor och även omtänksam personal som gav vår son kritor och en bok att rita i. Den andra kvällen var där tyvärr fullt med folk; fast om vi hade varit barnfria hade vi antagligen stannat för det var härlig atmosfär! Denna gång gick vi istället till Pinchos som ligger precis runt hörnet vilket kändes barnvänligare och som ett bättre alternativ. De andra restaurangerna på hotellet provade vi aldrig. Vi provade däremot hotellets spa (eftersom de har åldergräns fick vi gå i omgångar men det gjorde oss ingenting). Ett litet spa som ändå hade det mesta; bastu, isbad, ångbastu m.m. Rekommenderas varmt! Lagom rymliga hotellrum. Allt känns nytt och fräscht.
