Very good

The room was spacious and comfortable. The sheets were clean as was most everything else, with exception to some dusty counters.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating!
It was a nice, quiet, and relaxing village and it gave you a cozy feeling and a very good taste of the German lifestyle food was great and staff was very warm and friendly.
Conveniently also part of a restaurant/bar that just happened to serve some great schnitzel. The town is cozy and a nice getaway from the more touristy areas.

Nice guesthouse, we had own bathroom on shower.
Nice guesthouse, we had own bathroom on shower. Everything was fine. Breakfeast doesnt includes the room prize.
It was one night stay. The room was fine, but there is a stairway you need to negotiate from the parking lot in front of the hotel. The breakfast was very good. We would stay again if in the area.

Hotel + Hostel = Excellent
My girlfriend and I booked the hotel near Trier, due to the price. We were spending a few days in the area and this was a great base of operations. Right off the autobahn and near a grocery store with breakfast, we had an excellent time. The staff was incredible and we would both happily go back again. The only downside was that the bathroom was a shared facility among a number of rooms, luckily for us we never had any issues but do keep that in mind if you are not the type that is willing to walk down the hall for a bathroom. It was overall an excellent experience and I completely recommend it.

O.K.for one night,40 steps to our room,it was clean but the advertised memory foam mattress, had a memory loss!no tea or coffee facility in room.Very good breakfast.
The hotel was comfortable the breakfast was good buffet service with plenty of choice. During the week breakfast started at 6-30 am so was good for an early start especially if you were heading for Calais. The hotel is in the village of Kenn and there is nothing to do there some nights the restaurant is closed so is a nearby hotel which leaves one hotel in the village
No way to lock the shared shower room or toilet from the inside. Fought the radiators most of the night and almost froze.

Isolated location, average comfort
We stayed one night at this hotel. It is not close to much of anything, in the middle of a neighborhood basically. We had a room with a private bathroom, but unfortunately, the shared bathroom that some of the other guests had to use was right on the other side of our wall and we could hear every bathroom visit all night and into the morning. Breakfast was average, meats, cheeses, cereal, and hard boiled eggs. The bartender was smoking inside the restaurant the evening we arrived, so be aware if you plan on having dinner there.
The hotel is in a convenient location just off the main road for a good nights break on a long journey . Need to do something about reception though as out first experience was being greeted by 20 smokers in the public bar to check in . Overall ok though a little disappointed that we were charged for breakfast although it was advertised as included . BEWARE
I am surprised to see low customer rating for this hotel, which I believe is quite unfair. I was very happy with my stay and with breakfast and will definitely use Kenner Treff again. I would give 4 stars, but as a reciprocity for low valuation of other people I am giving 5.
I had a good experience at this hotel.
This was the first place we stayed in our trip to Germany. It is about 10 minutes from Trier, and more affordable than the hotels in the city. We arrived late, and there was parking available, the bartender/waitress/late night manager was helpful. We came down from our room after checking in and had fabulous Jaegerschnitzel with spaetzle, lots of Bitburger, and some Obstler (german fruit schnapps). It was smoky however, this is a local german bar, so smoking is allowed inside. They had a very good breakfast in the morning for the hotel guests, very filling.
Room was good, comforters were a little ugly, but clean; bathroom was very nice and clean, nice large tv, hotel itself isn't very cute, but quaint from the outside and restaurant was good.
Really, you can't go wrong for one night. I recommend.
This is our second stay, both times because it was the closest economically-priced hotel available at the last minute for the Bernkastel-Kues Weinfest. The management was friendly, although parking was very difficult on Saturday night. The mattresses were quite comfortable for European beds, but all three beds were narrow single beds in our family triple room. As a place to stay in order to see the sights, it was fine. Good for the price.
Nice gasthof near trier. Currently under remodeling. Breakfast was quite good and served in the bar/dining area. The bar was a smoking area so we non smokers were obliged to find other dining arrangements which we did across the street.

simple hotel with friendly service
We found the owners to be very friendly. The hotel is over the village sports bar (darts, pool, bowling, cards) – not very sophisticated, but fine to hang around in. They only had a room without a shower/toilet. I wouldn't recommend this variation. The bathroom was very clean, but you may be the last out of eight other guests to get your shower in. Kenn is a bit outside of Trier (a bit too far outside for bicyclists wanting to explore the city). The breakfast was a big buffet that tried to cater to international guests.

Kenner Treff near Trier
Good cheap hotel, with a restaurant that prepares a decent schnitzel.
If you need wireless, forget it, it is useless!
