Holidays in Kawasoti

Kawasoti is a destination with plenty of cool stories to tell. If you feel like your life's been a bit vanilla lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

If you travel 120 kilometres of Kawasoti, you'll find the well-known city of Kathmandu.

Break free on an adventure to some surrounding natural sights. 35 kilometres out of Kawasoti, Chitwan National Park is all yours to explore. Siddha Gufa, 45 kilometres away, is another excellent spot to kick your heels up.

If you're thinking about travelling further afield, head 25 kilometres southeast to Chitwan District. This is where you'll find Ghaila Ghari Community Forest and the Gharial Breeding Center. We also recommend swinging by Bharatpur, 25 kilometres to the east, for the Harihar Temple and Nagar Baan.

You may have the urge to set up camp in Pokhara for a while. This place is 70 kilometres to the north and pretty close to the Barahi Temple, the World Peace Stupa and Phewa Tal. Some other nearby attractions are Team 5 Nepal Paragliding and Avia Club Nepal.

Looking for something active? For an exciting adventure through the region's landscapes, sign up for a bit of mountain biking or mountain climbing.

Are you a bit pressed for time? Signing up for a few wildlife spotting tours and wildlife safaris will help you get a lot more out of your escape.

Paragliding will take you to crazy new heights. Calm your nerves and head for the heavens for the thrill of your life!

Looking for a little fun off dry land? Nepal is a fantastic area to make a splash with some rafting and canoeing. They're must-do activities, even for landlubbers!

Make your way through the region's history museums. They are excellent places to head to when the rain starts coming down.

Get some insight into the area's secrets with a trip to a few historic palaces. If a tour guide isn't available, ensure you do some research of your own.

You don't need to believe in a higher power to enjoy Kawasoti's temples and shrines. Learn more about the local set of beliefs and find some peace of mind at the same time.

There is no better way to get to know a destination than to literally take a big bite out of it! You're invited to explore the culture, history and personality of Nepal by tasting some of its top food and drink.

This region has its own cuisine based on local tastes and available ingredients. You'll discover goat and chicken are two popular elements in much of the fare.

There's always a local meal or two you have to try, and while you're in Kawasoti, kinema (soybeans) is definitely one of them. Chiura (beaten rice) is another well-loved dish that's not to be missed.

Dinner isn't complete without dessert, so give up counting calories for a while and tuck into one of the best sweet treats, kasaar (ball of rice flour and sugarcane juice).

Making it to your plane on time can be stressful. However, you should be fine if you've made a plan. The closest terminal, Pokhara Airport (PKR), is 65 kilometres to the north.
