About 30 kilometres to the northwest, Haparanda is a place that has lots to offer. Haparanda Kyrka, Church of Tornio and the Aine Art Museum are close by. That said, Orthodox Church and the Tornionlaakson Maakuntamuseo may be more your style.

You'll gain a more fulfilling, authentic experience and some new friends while you're at it! You may be glad you learnt 'Huomenta', which translates as 'good morning'.
