Very impressive resort with great organization for scheduling a dive or recertification weekend! I enjoyed the convenience of staying at one of the rooms on site and getting up the next morning to have the dive team ready to load gear and leave from the resort’s private dock. The dive instructors and boat crew were positive, energetic, and cautious of everyone’s safety. To make sure that I saw the most beautiful sections of each reef, I hired guides on two separate excursions and WOW they were amazing divers that made me feel safe. My first guide, Grace, was fantastic! She made sure we didn’t miss a single cool fish, turtle or shark and navigation/time spent on the reef was maximized perfectly.
The seas on the second excursion were 3-4 feet. Normally, I would not have booked a dive in the Keys on a choppy day, however, the size of Amoray’s dive boat, as well as, the wide side reentry ladder aided in an easy and stress-free reentry. My guide, Gabe, expertly lead us to the side of reef unaffected by the currents and we were able to swim through beautiful coral formations and enjoy the diversity of the fish on the reefs. Gabe’s navigation and time spent on the reefs were maximized perfectly.
If you are diving more than one day, Amoray has an onsite gear locker to dry/store your personal dive gear. Additionally, if you still have energy after diving- there are also complimentary kayaks, paddles boards and lifejackets for hotel guests.
