It sits 95 kilometres to the south of the nation's capital, Dublin.

You don't need to be stuck in a car all day to experience some nature. Just 19 kilometres out of Kilmuckridge, Wexford Wildfowl Reserve is a favourite spot to fill your lungs with fresh air. More idyllic surrounds await at Rathgall Stone Fort, 40 kilometres away.

You'll discover even more just around the corner. Curracloe, 14 kilometres to the southwest, is popular for Westgate Tower and Wexford Opera House. Alternatively, if the Irish National Heritage Park and National 1798 Centre are more appealing, head 15 kilometres southwest from Kilmuckridge to Ballymurn.

Heading to Ferrycarrig? This place is just 20 kilometres to the southwest. If you're setting up camp here, get a map and circle Selskar Abbey, Franciscan Friary and St Iberius' Church. Also consider taking a peek at Johnstown Castle & Gardens and Glengary Links.
