Minn gion was an excellent hotel for our short stay in Kyoto! It was centrally located to a lot of cool areas in Kyoto but far enough from the noise and action. The room was VERY spacious and a lot nicer than we expected. The price was the best part for four nights we paid almost 400 USD. It was very convenient having a luggage area where we can leave our stuff for the day on the day we checked out! When we first got the room we were literally the first room next to the lobby and I was a big worried about noise. But the building is new and pretty soundproof so we didn’t have any issues with noise!

Much cleaner than expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was close to tourist spots and a family mart is couple of steps from the hotel. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again.

A couple blocks away from the busier part of Gion, but a short walk from public transit, shops, restaurants and bars. Conveniently next door to a Family Mart and nearby Yasaka Shrine. Stayed only for 2 nights, but was satisfied with my short stay in Kyoto.

Know it’s not a hotel, it’s an apartment😅
It’s no-person apartment with over-video screen receptionist available and do not expect hotel service. I ship my luggage, told never to do that. They do not accept any delivery, so be careful. Great room with kitchen but no basic spices so buy or bring your own. Love their room. Highly recommend if you don’t need any help.

This residence hotel was very well located on the Gion neighborhood of Kyoto. Different from all the others we stayed in Japan, we did not feel it was secure enough. The front door was closed at midnight but anyone could get in the elevator all day long. Did not like that. We were offered a washer/dryer in the room and the type of room we chose came to find out it did not have the washer/dryer. Too impersonal for our taste.

The property was in close proximity to Gion and several shrines. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. Room was very spacious and plenty of space for the four of us. I would suggest that they replace/upgrade the pillows as they’re really hard and flat. Other than that, the property and room was perfect for our needs.

The suite was very modern. Was clean. Take shoes off at door, slippers providers. Easy checkin. Great location—two small groceries within 1 block. Walkable area—easy to walk to beige and cross too the restaurant district. I can’t say enough about out stay with them

Minn Gion is located about 12~15 min walk away from Sanyo Keihan station where there are Keihan line and Tozai line. There is a family store located downstairs. Nearby, approximately 5~10 min walk, you get to various restaurants and embrace in the amazing culture around. The room we had, was for 4. All of us slept well though it was sleeping on the mattresses. There was fridge, toaster, microwave for your use too. Also, a bath tub but we did not use much as too exhausted but the time we came back. There are two washing machines and dryers at level 2. Shared. And you need to ensure you have always 100 yen as there was no money changer. Not even in the family mart. We used hands free luggage delivery service coming into and out of Minn Gion. Coming into Minn Gion, we need to collect our luggages from Yamato Transport office (approximately 20 min walk, took taxi back to Minn Gion). Sending out our luggages was a breeze (almost) as the family mart provided the service (you need to fill up the form on the next collection area, and thank goodness the family mart has screen captures on how you can do so). Overall, while Minn Gion is self service check in property, the communication via LINE can be further improved on.

This is a great option for families , very spacious and good amenities. It has a good sized kitchen, we had a laundry too which was a bonus and a wet room. Overall it was a great spacious place in a convenient location, and theres a family mart next door. Our only issue was that the rooms had mosquitos so some family members woke up with lots of itchy bites. In addition the main room had a terrible old sock like smell. They do need to fix that. We had the humidifier on which helped a bit. If you arent too bothered by smells or a few bites, its def a great option for a stay in Kyoto.

Family Mart is right next door. Many Parking space around the area with charge. Room is spacious and clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Staff were great and very helpful. We booked a room with washer and dryer, very convenient for us. Strong Wifi.

Only a couple of blocks from the busy streets of Kyoto but a world apart, as it was uncrowded and felt safe. We were on the second floor facing the street corner, so did hear cars and people's voices. There's a FamilyMart store on the ground floor which was convenient, but that also meant that people congregated below our window to smoke. Overall a nice property.

We had an absolutely amazing experience staying at minn Gion. The room size was sufficient for a family of three. There was a convenient store nearby. The bus stop was nearby.Gion area is absolutely amazing to take a peaceful walk late at night or early morning. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at staying in Kyoto.

Overall the property was good. But we had a big issue with pillows, all feather and we both have allergies to feathers. In the end they provided foam pillows for me after telling there were no other sorts of pillows.
