Please read this review before booking!! I originally booked at the Bahia Principe Grand La Romana and they said for $200, I can "upgrade" to the Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville - Adults Only - All Inclusive. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a resort. Waited 45 minutes to have them walk me to my room and would not let me go on my own and would not give me my keys. The phone or the safe in the closet didn't work. On day 3 my room filled with a Sewage smell, I was moved but took 1 1/2 hours. Said they needed to check the room to see if it was okay. When I finally got there, it was just freshly painted with paint cans still on the floor of the room. Obviously, did not check the room prior. Another 1 1/2 hours later, went to next room, turned on the AC and left, which means again they didn't check the room. When got back to my room, the AC and refrigerator didn't work. Was only going to be there for 2 more days, so I roughed it. Overall, the resort was terrible. Only had one restaurant per night open and if you didn't book by 3pm the prior day, you had to eat at the buffet. There were no signature drinks at any of the bars except the lobby bar and there were very limited pool side servers. There was basically no entertainment at the resort, except a few dancers that basically did the same thing every night. No sports bar or lounge. Would not give me any kind of credit, but ended up giving 2 25 minutes massages for me and wife. Dirty Beach Towels. Run
