Not exactly as perceived from photos
We had a decent stay here. I thought the photos from the room of being near the lake meant we were actually closer to the lake (i.e. truly at the edge). Instead the space between the patio and the lake pictured is actually a driveway for the other vehicles and RV's- so its not as peaceful as expected from the photo. In addition, we were in room 6 of the motel, which happens to be next to the laundry room, so we did have noise from people using the laundry room. Otherwise a good stay, just a few unexpected things.

This is our place to stay every time we go to Lake Tekapō. Right by the lake, walking distance to the hot springs and Mt John. The cabin we stayed had everything we needed to cook our own meals and stay comfortably with two young children and two elderly adults, as well as myself and my husband Will definitely stay again next time we are in Tekapo

The view of Lake Tekapo was stunning. The room we had was however pretty small and furniture was somewhat outdated. There really weren't many amenities so ensure you pack your own shower cap, cotton buds and so forth.

Everything was fine but liked a bit more clarity wat cabin i book because i didn't like the fact that there was not a toilet in the cabin i can cope with everything else just bathroom facilitie And i would liked some pots and pans and cutlery and plates in the kitchen itself Thank you

We drove from Wanaka and road was closed so had to turn around and go around I called hotel to advise and they said they don't do cancellations for when road is closed - so the expectation is that people will drive for hours on detours to get there. I did not enjoy this phone call and when we come back next year we will not stay at this hotel.
