Zen house
Great house and location. No water on Friday night. Handyman out to fix. No water again Sat.morning. in the middle of a shower. Took a while to fix. Interfered with our plans for day. Hope all is permanently fixed. Would like to rent again

Beautiful view - unresolved issues
The view from the deck is amazing and the property is lovely and close to the lake. However, we ran into issues during our stay. We arrived to find that the hot tub was empty and dirty. When the host was contacted, he told me the hot tub was not included in the listing and hadn’t been for over a year. However, when the place was booked it was listed as an amenity and was still included on the VRBO site throughout and after our stay. We also experienced water pressure and water supply issues. The host made a great effort to try and resolve the issue but it remained an intermittent problem during the entire 3-day stay (Toilets couldn’t be flushed, water cut off mid-shower, waking up to no water each morning and having to go through a series of troubleshooting and pump restarts). We were very patient throughout all of this and tried to work with the host. Upon realizing the water issues couldn’t be fixed we should have been offered compensation for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we weren’t. After much back and forth with the host, we did receive a small reimbursement, but it was an unsatisfying outcome given the extent of the impact it had on us enjoying our stay.

Great Escape
The location was very convenient to Shasta Lake and all the boating experiences you can think of. Also a 15 minute drive to Shasta Lake Caverns tour which I recommend. The patio with an exceptional view of the lake, which is full this year!, is the ideal place to enjoy conversation, a BBQ and some refreshments. My family had a wonderful time at this property.

We had a wonderful time. The host was very responsive at booking and answering pre-stay questions. The property is older but well kept. The view from the patio and upstairs rooms is amazing. We were a group of 11 and no one had any complaints.

Great view, lots of space and entertainment.
This property was a great place to relax and have some fun, very spacious. The outdoor sitting areas were comfortable with amazing views. Indoor windows were large and offered great views as well. Plenty of areas to hang out and play. The entertainment room has a lot to offer too!

Perfect for Large Groups!
We loved our stay at this large lakehouse property. It was my first time booking with VRBO and I’m so glad that I chose this property! We had a large group of 12 people so I was worried there would not be enough room to fit us all, but I’m glad I was wrong. My favorite parts: - Stunning view - Extremely communicative and friendly host - Six comfy new beds - Fancy Nest AC - Easy lake access - Plenty of cool amenities: Pool table, hot tub, ping pong table, projector, hammock - HUGE property with plenty of parking - Painless Check-In Overall, my guests and I were very happy and satisfied with this Lakehead getaway. We had a blast and I would love to come again! Thanks Kam for providing clear and detailed instructions and checking in with me regularly!

Wonderful Shasta Views
We were 3 couples who stayed at the house and very much enjoyed our time there. We towed a 24 ft pontoon boat with us and weren't ready for the steep road up to the house or the tight driveway but we made it work. The house needs some updating but overall it worked well for us. Our weather was great and we spent as much time as possible on the lake or the deck at the house. The bedding throughout the house is all new but is the Tempur-Pedic brand name, some like the brand very much we found the bed to be a little too firm. Kam, the owner was very good to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. Lake Shasta is awesome I would highly recommend that you visit it and get on the water if you can. -pkh-

Lovely view but dated & dirty
The house has amazing views and the games room is a great addition. However, the house had many issues which are unacceptable for such a high nightly rate. - Beds: Very uncomfortable and not enough clean comforters/blankets - Cleanliness: We found a Scorpion in the downstairs bathroom - Noise: The house has a water pump, which seems to run all night making sleeping in the downstairs bedroom nearly impossible, unless you have earplugs. - Lights: Many lightbulbs missing in hallways or standing lights - Hot Tub: Water not pre-warmed so we could not use it the day we arrived - Furniture/Cabinets/Curtains: Very dated. Broken blind in downstairs bedroom. No hammock, as shown in pictures.

Beautiful, Comfy, and Fun
This is the best furnished home I have ever rented. Every room is well furnished with high quality and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is well equipped. The two master bedrooms are warm and relaxing with incredible views. The game room provided hours of fun. The hot tub was the perfect ending to every day. The decks and the view, well there are no pictures or words good enough to describe. Absolutely loved this home in every way.
