I cannot speak to the check-in process, the accuracy of the listing or the cleanliness of the property. My review is a one-star review because approximately 1 month before my stay hurricane Helene hit. Hurricane Helene made landfall September 27th. I sent a message to the host explaining that I was going to be deployed to either North Carolina or Georgia for the hurricane. All of my colleagues that were coming with me were also being deployed to that area to assist. I did not receive any response from the host after multiple attempts even after saying are you going to respond to me the next day I received an automated response welcoming me to the property. I think it is a horrible way to do business to not check your messages or to check them and not respond because you are not in a position to give the money back or to make other arrangements. I come to Lansing four times a year and this was our first time trying to find a house that we could utilize throughout that time. I don't know what the refund policy is however a month before the stay I was not able to get any response from this host. I lost $3,000. So if you choose to book with this host understand that the communication after you book your reservation May cease to exist. When asking questions about booking Keith had no problem getting a hold of me but once it was booked there wasn't a single response to any of my messages. It would have never crossed my mind to not respond or take someone's $3,000.
